The photos are a wonderful idea. I wasn't expecting it, and it was so touching - I treasure it. I would love to have that list of ways to help. Do I just request it from your website? I was really hoping to foster but with five of my own already it's just not something I feel I can give 100% to. That wouldn't be fair to any of them.

I just got off the phone with Trina....we just decided on a new name for Tevo. He will now be known as Chance :)

He will be picked up by Trina tomorow morning and begin his journey towards his second chance!

I'm up and anxiously awaiting the right time to leave to pick up Chance and get him going to his new life! I can only imagine how happy he will be!

I am so happy for baby "Chance" - how lucky he is to have had you two come into his life! This thread is what Yorkie Talk should be all about!!! You two guys have been absolutely wonderful to have coordinated and gotten all of this accomplished. I admire you both!

I'm so excited! It seems that there have been so many saved in the past few days and it always just makes my day. Well now I am waiting for LadyJane to give me a call to let me know that she has Chance. Maybe I can also talk her into sending me a picture or two :p

Just got off the phone with LJ and she has Chance. :animal36 She sent me a few pictures to my phone so I am going to see if I can post so that you can see him. They are not the greatest since they came from a cellphone but at least you will be able to take a peak at the little guy.

*LJ is on her way to meet the vet now to will be taking care of Chance until his mange can be properly treated. :( So she still has a few more hours before she and Chance get to their final destination. She said that he is doing wonderful for the car ride and he seems to be a very nice little boy. He is not neutered and will need quite a bit of vetting to make him healthy again. I'm so glad that we have been able to save another little guy. :yorkietal

WOW, just thinking about the pups that we have been able to help and are/were in YHR's care and all of the support and donations YTers have given to help with their care it is truly amazing! Off the top of my head there is Truman, Teagan, Ozzie, Gizmo, Clara Belle and now Chance. In addition to them there have been so many others that have found homes because of how the "YT Rescue Family" always comes together when there is a pup in need. :notworthy We have had a really great week and there have been so many in the past few days that have found home. Thank you everyone for being there for the Haven pups. :)

megansmomma you are so right about this week, what an awesome rescue week, I have chills ~ and it confirms yet again, how worth it it all is....and it makes me so happy what WE all, from different states, just sitting at our computers can accomplish :)

Oh, what a day! I did leave home at 7:00 and just got home at about 3:30! No matter how tired I really am I am so happy to have had the chance to help Chance out! He is an adorable fella and I am so excited for this thread! It was an awesome journey and just adds fuel to the fire for me to become more involved in this rescue thread. I feel so overwhelmed with the support, not only for Chance, but for Tucker and Stewie as well! I would have never thought that this could have happened a few days ago, but look at these precious babies now!! I am thrilled to have had the chance to work with Linda and will always be greatful for all of the hard work that goes into rescuing these precious babies!! I will keep you guys posted on my new babies and will be anxious for updates on Chance!

By the way, there is an awesome daschund at the shelter....anyone interested?? I love road trips...LOL. :)

Ok....3:50 here and I just got in! Guess I got lucky...my trip did not start until 11 AM ... thank yous again SO much, Trina for all you did to save Chance!
He is at the vet now, safe and sound. He has a nice soft donut bed to sleep in....and a big run in a wonderful air conditioned building. He will be in great hands! I will post pics later and also will keep everyone updated as I hear about his progress. He is about an hour from me, so visits will probably not be happening a lot, but they will be in touch with me!

He is really uncomfortable. He scratched a lot on the trip home. He does have sores all over him and a lot of hair loss around his face, on his legs and the lower part of his body. Also very scant hair on his back and a ton of little mats...probably from scratching. Under his legs he is raw...I felt so badly for him watching him scratch with those open areas. I know it has to hurt him. They will shave him down and bathe him ... and he will feel better.
I really will not know much until Monday. They will make him comfortable until then. Then, they will run lab tests and see what that looks like. I also wanted him tested for heartworms to be absolutely certain he is positive.
In Beaumont when we took him out for a walk, he balked when it was time to go back into the pet taxi. I had to shove his little butt in and he was fine ... no snippy behavior at all. He seems to be a very sweet guy!

Ahhhh...poor baby, how awful that sounds....and to think he had to *survive* somehow like that...so sad

Well, I will be looking forward to Monday's report and I will keep an eye for his *donate button* as I want to be apart of his recovery :)
