Amandawash no one can say you didn't give it your all to help Emma. I just can't help wondering if its about being rehomed out of the area or the fact that a spayed female sold through a rescue isn't going to bring as much $$$$. I sure hope I'm wrong. I hope she doesn't end up sold to a puppy mill. |

It was admirable for Danica to volunteer but if they can find a local family that is right for Emma, it would be a lot easier on her. |

Everyone just needs to please calm down. I know we're all concerned about this Yorkie, but patience needs to be exercised. I think the first thing that people need to realize and understand is that I'm not in any position to do anything with this dog until I've spoken with the proper authorities and figure out what I can LEGALLY do and what my limitations are. I know Amanda offered to meet me halfway, but I do have obligations and responsibilities and I can't just drop everything I'm doing and spend 6 hours in a car at a moments notice. I am the rescue director for my local Avian society and with that title comes A LOT of responsibility. Weekends are tough, as I usually spend the bulk of them moving parrots into rescue, assessing their needs/temperament, vet checks, cleaning cages, and then to foster or adoptive homes. I cannot let those counting on me down just because someone dumped a dog on my doorstep. Please try to understand this and accept the fact that I take my seat on the board of directors VERY seriously. At the moment, I'm not entirely sure I can just outright rehome her and still have a case. My attorney is checking into it for me. I should know more about that sometime this week. In the event that I can't rehome her, I'll definitely be looking to Amanda for long term foster care while we litigate the case in courts. I do know, however, that until the courts make a decision on the case, I cannot spay her. Spaying her would be altering and/changing a dog that was advertised here on YT as a breeding dog and would nullify my case against the breeder. We all know she's not, but our opinions don't always count. Courts treat animals as property and not as a living creature. I know it's not fair, but it's how the legal system works. This information as stressed heavily to me today, so it's something I need to take into consideration. I WILL keep everyone abreast of everything I find out and everything that we do regarding Emma. |

As far as Im concerned you have shown all of us your TRUE COLORS why this Gina, I dont get it,ksl.com Amanda is only 5 hours away and is willing to meet you half way and will have her spayed and will give you the rehoming fee. How could you turn that down and post to ksl. Everyone on YT knows that Amanda has a heart of Gold and is the best thing for EMMA. |
I am getting so sick reading these posts. I think the breeder was wrong but I think the seller is now equally wrong. You don't need to drive 5 or 6 hours one way. Amanda offered half way which could be 2.5 hours one way. Now here is Amanda who is offering to take her AND spay her and you have problems with that. In other words, if all else fails, then you'll go to Amanda? She is being advertised for sale, more than once. If it is because of money, just say it. I just don't understand how you don't have money to spay her but you have money for a lawyer? You have members of YT donating money for a spay. Now you are saying you can't spay her because it would make her a different dog other than what was advertised. It will cost you TONS of money for a lawyer with no guarantee of you winning or the breeder being responsible for your attorney fees. Is this worth it, all this, while Emma remains in your home, for how long, a year, maybe more? I think you should consider this a lesson learned and a loss of money as a teacher to you. I can assure you, this has happened to others as well. But lawyer fees will far outweigh the price you paid for Emma. So if it is the loss of money, which you claim it is, how can you afford all this? And you can't drive half way to meet Amanda but time for lawyers. This all makes no sense to me. Amanda, you are a sweetheart for all you offered and I don't even know you. Is finding a local home more important than someone who truly wants her and is offering to finance the spaying herself? You don't find too many Amandas around. I would seriously reconsider Amanda's offer. I know your involvement with Avian but you are now involved with Emma as well and just can't continue to advertise her and hope for the best. It's not realistic for Emma to remain with you, your children and your other baby. Don't think for a minute Emma doesn't feel any of this. A dog can sense things much better than we can in hiding our feelings. What is it you REALLY want here that you don't feel you're getting. nuff said. |
I would be willing to give Amanda gas money so she could come to your home to get Emma and Im sure other will too. Is this something you may consider? |
For me I wouldn't give a hoot about money. My only concern and priority would be Emma. I realize you may want to get some money back, but I just am so confused at some of the posts. I pray for Emma thats all:( |
i agree that no one has "dumped" THIS DOG on you. You site all your responsibilities with the rescue yet in another post on this thread you were begging for help because you were so out of touch with how rescues work. What is going on here? You asked US to calm down. I also tried to refer you to some people that run a yorkie placement nearly like a rescue and you started asking about adoption fees. When I told you there would be no adoption fee to you, you stopped writing. Anyone involved with rescue knows there are no adoption fees. You turn your dog over free. i can certainly un derstand your needing to get your money back. At least what you can. No one can afford to just give money away. I am sickened by your post this morning. i agree that you have turned out as bad as this breeder. Things are coming to light that make you seem very shady. yes, we are concerned about this dog and NO we don\'t have to calm down. The longer this thread goes on, the worse YOU are beginning to look andd not just to me. You seem to have made your mind up what you are going to do. The only way people are going to "calm" down is for you to write admin a pm and ask that this thread be closed. |
