Senior Yorkie Talker | Desperate Lhasa! OMG...Help...my hubby just called from work, there is a little Lasha Apso that was dropped at the pound in KY near his work! He said the poor baby is so matted and dirty and terrified!! I told him to get her and bring her home! He is trying to find someone who handles things at the pound to help him get her! He is going to call me back as soon as he hears. Why are people so heartless? Does anyone know of anyone in the west TN area who might like to have this little one?! I'll get her cleaned up, already called my vet and he is waiting for her in the am. I am also going to get in touch with the rescue that I recently applied to foster for and see if they might want to help. Please keep this tiny one in your thoughts! Someone out there has a heart & home for this little one, I'm sure!

Senior Yorkie Talker | Update! I got him!! I got there yesterday morning just as the guy arrived to pick him up to take him to be euthanised!! You can't believe what this poor baby looks like! I am so upset. When my husband told me who that man was I got really upset! We are taking him to the vet this am and I amtrying to find a groomer who can help me with him. I spent 7 hours yesterday trying to clip all of the mats, burrs, ticks, etc. off of him. I can't get the mess off of his legs and he has areally hard time walking due to the mats and stuff on his legs. They are also swollen, really red and irriatated! The pad on his right front is huge from a thorn that was embedded. Hubby helped me get that out and I soaked his foot in epsom salt water. I'm guessing his age to be around 2 or 3? Under all that hair and mess he really is a cute little guy. We're calling him Alfie for now (anyone recall the tv show Alf?). He's a really sweet little dog. He Loves my 9 yo daughter and he cries whenever I walk away from him now. He gets along with cats and other dogs too. I'll keep you all posted on his progress. Does anyone know of someone looking for a pup like him?

Senior Yorkie Talker | Thanks everyone. I think the angel was with us both I got there in time! He weighs about 7 or 8 pounds. He's quite a little charmer and those eyes! They are so expressive I just talked with the groomer in town, she's going to work him in today to help me with his legs. Yeah Oh, and giving me a discount to boot After the groomer, we're going to see Doc. I hope he has good news. The last time I was in his office I lost my little Lilly, this may be a little tough. I took a photo yesterday before I started clipping, will post them when I have his "after" pics too: We wouldn't want to scare you...lol I couldn't believe it when I started clipping, I thought he had really big ears but they are actually fairly small, it was all matted hair! yuck...he already looks a bit happier with most of the hair gone. He's also quite small, malnourished I would think. But he loves to eat, I've started him slowly on Iams and he loves it. He goes thru his kibble like a frieght train...lol Anyway, it's now 9 am and I need to get going on our errand with Alfie. So will chat & update later this afteroon. Keep a prayer for him? Thanks

Senior Yorkie Talker | The new & Improved Alfie Good news! Alfie has been given a clean bill of health from the vet He was also given the star treatment at the groomer. Not only was he clipped, he was soaked in a bubble bath, had his ears cleaned out, nails clipped and a massage! Oh, to be so pampered...lol Alfie is doing beautifully, he needs to gain a little weight and a few sores from bug bites & such need to heal up (medication being applied). Outside of that, he's great! I'm posting some pics of him in my photo albums and I will try to do the same here. Oh, and we've already had a couple of calls on him Thanks to all of you for your concern.
