No this is from another mill. This "breeder" is giving the pups to our rescue 20 or so at a time.

I'm interested in fostering, but I'm single and I work full time and don't have a lot of extra money. Do you ever approve people in my position? I figure there would be quite a bit of cost involved if these babies aren't in great shape.

Thank goodness! How did you manage that? And with all the publicity surrounding puppy mills, it is amazing that people still continue to get themselves into these situations. Greed is the root of so much evil!

Our director is in touch with several mills in florida and in other states. She built a relationship with them so they will give her the pups instead of the millers "disposing" them in any way they want. Most rescues especially rescues that take in mill pups try to build relaltionships with millers this way if something happens the rescue would be able to take them in. Unfortunately, we have laws that allow the millers to do what they do and every year more mills and bby breeders emerge. Its just the shocking truth of rescue and sometimes building some kind of relationship with the miller is the best thing to do to save a life.

We approve all sorts of individuals we can't discriminate on individuals who work because we are not all millionaires at least I'm not. There are several of us who work full time and others who work part time and others who are stay at home. All which is fine the problem only is when someone works extended hours and can't take care of a pup.

In regards to the extra money you don't need to have money to volunteer. Most of the pups that come from the mill will either be vetted before they arrive to your home or if the pup is not vetted we will reimburse you for any vetting if the vet does not bill us directly.

I can't foster just yet...BUT....I would love to offer to help with Home Inspections (on Long Island or Queens area) - is there a need for that

My husband and I could foster two. I've submitted my application and have already spoken with our vet, just to give him a "heads up". We're ready to help when you need us.

To everyone that has applied, your application should be in the process of being processed. If you have not pm'd me letting me know that you put your application in it might take a little bit longer.

Just to give a little update we need transport help, hv help, and other volunteers to help us with fundraising and etc... so please if you are not able to foster but would still like to help even in just getting donations such as collars, bowls, leashes, food, beds, etc...

omg..i am seriously thinking about becoming a foster parent. I have 3 so i don't think have the extra one is a problem for me.

I have been working hard to get everyones application going, so please if you placed an application to foster, volunteer, adopt please let me know.

Also as most of you know Tex our Shih Tzu who was lost and than found a month later will be joing me in Cranbury, NJ for Your Dog is Worth It Too event. He is up for adoption so if you are anyone that you know in the NJ, PA, NY, CT, and surrounding areas are interested in adopting or meeting him please join me there we will have a booth there and other information regarding adopting, fostering, volunteering etc....

yorkiefriend-I will definitly keep you in mind, Since we are getting so many especially from mill busts.
