| Atlanta Humane Soc. - free dogs Have you guys heard that Atlanta Humane Society is giving away free dogs? Reason is because they are taking the overflow from a puppymill bust in TN. They even have some really cute yorkies!! They are doing this today and tomorrow only from what I heard on the news. They had a lot of people show up yesterday. They do have some worries that some people may be brokers or just getting the dogs to resale and try to make money. Atlanta got 200 dogs from this bust. There are other states that got some of these dogs too from the bust. They say they are purebreeds. T. |

| They are doing some sort of screening and they will or have been spayed or neutered. They had to call the police there yesterday, becasue so many people showed up. I bet other states surrounding TN and TN Hunane Society have some of the dogs too from this bust. I think the mill had 1,000 purebred dogs. Not sure - but I know it was a lot! |

| Happy to hear that they will be spayed or netutered, you get so worried... we had an ad in the paper the other day for two free female Yorkies...3 years old. I called them and left a message telling them to make sure they are spayed or get a spay contract with the people getting them....they must have been like who is this weird lady leaving a message :-) Well if they are screening then that is great...better to get the pups out in homes to begin enjoying life then stuck in cages even longer.... I am always so happy when a mill is busted and the pups are rescued but then so sad to think that was how they had been living and that there are many more out there....

Donating YT 30K Club Member | It is so horribly sad and maddening that any human can do this to these poor defenseless animals. It's great to see such a big responce you just hope they do screen to make sure they are getting a good home.
