Well, we're going to get Daisy in about five hours. We went out and got everything she would need last night and it's all ready for her! I am so excited!

Sarah and her husband are on their way home with their new baby! Daisy is doing well and has already captured their hearts.

I'm so sorry. It really does get easier. I had to rehome my 2 dogs last year....and for a while I felt like it would never feel any better...but it really does. You never stop missing them...but you do feel better. It just takes time. I'll keep you in my prayers. *hug*

I am so sorry that you miss her so much but hope it helps to know you did what was best for both of you. I am also glad you are going to stick around and see all the updates on Daisy from her new mommy. It sounds like they live fairly close to you as well which had to make it somewhat easier.

Ohhh... I just read through all the treads.. what a nice outcome. I'm sure you are are going to miss Daisy a lot.. but, it must warm your heart to know the kind of life Daisy is going to have. You did a wonderful thing, your unselfishness will be rewarded many times over...

Daisy is now settled into her new home with us! It was a little rough starting out...I don't think she liked the three hour drive. But once we got home it was much better. She was running around and playing with her toys. We got it on video and will try to figure out how to post it soon. She got so excited actually that she had an accident on the floor! lol. I think it was all just so much for her.

This morning my husband took her out and she went potty so that was a big relief. We were afraid all the newness had confused her, but she is doing great! She is also sooo quiet! She has not whined or barked...well, she gave me a couple little barks when she was really excited today and found something that caught her interest, but she is really the quietest Yorkie I have ever seen! LOL. Right now she is trying to get a blanket on our Papazan (sp?) chair and it is adorable!

Jen, I know you miss her, but I hope it helps that she is doing well. Feel free to call or email anytime if you want an update and I will try to update often on here as well.

I just came back to read this thread and I am so happy to hear that Daisy is settling in nicely! Post some pics soon.
That is VERY thoughtful of you to tell Jenn she will still always be her dog as well. So many people would take in the new dog as theirs and shut the door on the previous owner. to you and your hubby!!!!
