Rehoming my furbabies

Regarding the fee of 1000 which is 500 for each. If you live in the Bay Area you would know it is almost impossible to find a yorkie for under 1000. Even if you were to adopt an older yorkie with social or health isses, the fee is about as high. My furbabies are both under 2 and have perfectly good health and great social skills. So yes I am concern someone will adopt them and sell them off for more. Please keep in mind both are under 5 pounds, so a lot of people would want them.

Anyhow after thinking long and hard, I convinced my ex to keep them until I can find a place that would allow dogs. In the mean time, just in case I can't find a place that is suitable, I'll be keeping an eye out for a perfect place to rehome them. I'm just thankful I no longer have to make a decison right away. When he told me a few days back that he can't keep them anymore, he was under a lot of stress at the time. He just moved out and was under a lot of emotional and physcially stress. Now that things are calm, he should be able to keep them for a while.

I went to visit them at my exboyfriend's parents house yesterday, when I left Teddy ran out and sat near the curb by car was parked waiting for me. I can't imagine not having them as a part of my life and I can't imagine them not having me as a part of their life. Financially I need to make some arrangement the next few weeks to assure I am capable of bringing them in with me, like I've always said I have their best interest at heart. If for whatever reasons I think I'm not capable of providing for them, I will adopt them so they could have a better life even if its not with me.

A yorkie member offer to foster them until I can find a place of my own. I will be in contact with her just in case my ex changes his mind again. I am forever grateful for everyone who tried to lend a hand. This has been a tough ride, but the members here really help ease my fall.

Oh, I'm so happy that you are coming to some kind of resolution that may result in you keeping your babies. All of us understand how difficult it would be to ever part with one of these guys. I'm glad to see YTers come together to help someone who clearly LOVES and ADORES her yorkies. Hard times come upon us all and the strength of our characters show at times such as these...in the way we help others. It's heartwarming to see such great efforts made by so many people!

I am so sorry to hear of your trouble. Jan and I have one Yorkie, "Roufianna". She is now 16 months, neutered and about 7 .5 lbs of dynamite LOL. We have been toying with the idea of getting another but two may be a bit much. She works with me Jan that is) 3 of my 5 days a week and we have an adult daughter and 4 grand daughters (age 8-18) living in our home so Roufi doesn't get too lonely. If you are thinking our situation would work for you please email me with photos of your babies and let me know of any possible health issues up front as we could not consider assuming great expense beyond the normal feeding and vet fees. We live in NY on Long Island in a middle class quiet neighborhood and have a nice fenced in yard that allows Roufi to romp without our worrying about miserable (sob's) stealing her. If I can sell the idea to the bride you would be welcome to come and see for yourself.
