| Oops, I spelled the little girl's name wrong.... it's Mini.... Okay, here is the reply I received from the owner... he is going to hold on to them until (hopefully) a YT'er can bring them home... He does want them both to go together! I didn't even notice they're state is not listed... I'm emailing him now... Please keep us posted if you decide to adopt them!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you Dena. We're in Cornwall-on-Hudson, near the Storm King School. We bought Max (11 lbs, 8 yrs old) for my daughter who quickly tired of the responsibility. Mini (7 lbs., 3 yrs old) was bought as a companion for Max (and possibly to breed). My son inherited both of them before moving to a residence that doesn't permit pets. My wife and I accepted them (as we're also living in a home that the owners would prefer we don't have pets) on a temporary basis. We're looking for a loving home for the two (as a couple). They've been together for a couple of years and to separate them would--in my opinion--be unfair. If you could help us find a good home for them we'd be grateful. Their shots are current and I had their teeth cleaned just a month ago. There's no adoption fee. Thanks for your email. I look forward to hearing from you. Chris

| Okay, I guess I should have known this, lol... the furkids are in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY .... One more thing.... we just ask that you mention YT or my name when inquiring so that Chris knows that you are an experienced Yorkie owner and YT member rather than some kennel person off the street... He wants them in a GOOD home... not with some breeder.... thanks!

| Dilemma ... Oh my god, I'm in such a dilemma right now ... I have been talking with another member about adopting her adorable, three-month-old Shi tzu, Dusty. You can see all the correspondence about him here. He is just a beautiful little teddy bear. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...=107688&page=4 I honestly don't anticipate his size being a problem as discussed (i.e. Tika is six pounds and he'll maybe be double her size). My daughter has seen his pictures and is very excited about having him. I could provide a good home to all three of these dogs but cannot afford the transportation fees for them all. I'm not sure what I should do. I had my heart set on a Yorkie as I am so in love with the breed. However I have sincerely had my heart captured by Dusty and have talked about offering him a loving home when I return back from my vacation on Feb. 15th. I feel torn because I can offer a loving home to these two and keep them together. What is the right, ethical, fair thing to do? My heart is truly torn in half!!!

| Now that I've had a chance to think for a minute, I decided to send the person that posted the dogs on Craig's List an email to learn more about them. Here is the email: Hi, I was contacted by members of the Yorkie Talk forum as I am looking to offer another Yorkie (or two) a loving, forever home. I have a few questions about Max and Mini, if you don't mind. a) Have they been around children? If so, how have they been? I have a six-year-old daughter, which is the reason I am asking. b) Are they spayed/neutered? If not, is there any chance she may be pregnant? c) How do you think they would do on a flight to Canada? I believe an airline flight from New York to Manitoba would be about four to five hours maximum. d) Please tell me more about their personalities ... e) Do you have any more pictures you could share? | Thanks Dena, I was feeling awful because I didn't want to let you down regarding Dusty. I had actually started to become excited about him because he's so darn cute and sound like he has a wonderful personality. Since you are okay with keeping Dusty a little longer (until you find the right home), I'm really going to try my best to offer these two a loving home. I'll let you know when I receive an email back from the person that listed the Craig's list ad. In the meantime, I'm going to look up prices for airfare from New York to Winnipeg. The only other dilemma I face is that I am going to be out of town from Feb. 5 to Feb. 14. Ideally I would like to not put them through getting attached to my daughter and I - then having us disappear for 9 days. If the previous owner can keep the dogs until then, I can do it.
