| I was able to find this little boy somewhere to go! Yay! He is being helped by the YTCA! More on his story: I found out from the adoption rep at Bakersfield Animal Shelter that he injured his hip when someone threw him over the fence. Unfortunately, they did not have the funds to cover medical expenses, hence why they were about to euthanize him. I am over-the-moon that someone will be able to give him all the help that he needs! I was getting ready to drive there to pick him up myself! Always good to hear a happy ending, especially at Christmas-time. |

| If they know someone threw him over the fence- why were they not arrested? Then they should have to pay for all medical cost- and never be allowed to have another pet! That makes my blood boil! |

The people at the SPCA had no idea who posted on Craigslist or that it had even been posted! The first woman I spoke with denied having the dog and said that they did not euthanize. Which is a blatant lie. Fortunately, the adoption rep realized that they did have the dog. I was up this morning e-mailing every rescue I knew of (and Googling others) to try to save him. One lady turned me down because she was 4 hours away! She runs a rescue! Shouldn't they be willing to drive 4 hours for a dying animal?!? I know that I would have been willing to drive and get him just to make sure that he was okay. Thank you all for your support!! It is so reassuring to know that I am not the only person who cares so greatly about the welfare of our smaller and helpless friends! | |

| This little guy needs help being transported from Bakersfield, CA to Las Vegas. Is there anyone who will be traveling from CA to Vegas next week? Even travel halfway would be a great help. Thanks to everyone for all your support! PS I am still looking for a Yorkie to adopt but I am now fostering to help dogs find their forever homes. Last edited by vixen767; 01-04-2008 at 01:15 PM. |

| Just an update on the Yorkie in Bakersfield. I am currently fostering him -- another Sunny (Sonya) helped transport him to Vegas for me. We have named him Sir Winston. I wanted to give him a "big" name since he has been through so much. He is learning to get along with my playful Maltese Matthew. At first, he just layed around but today he played quite a bit. I am fostering him through Yorkshire Terrier Club of America Rescue. He is adjusting to his foster home right now, but is still wishing for furever home. Please contact me if you are interested in giving this baby a loving home. |

| The original Craigslist post is gone. Can you post pictures of Sir Winston?

| Vixen - 767 What kind of adoption fee are you asking for this little boy? As well, would he be okay to travel to a new, forever home?
