We just called the shelter and Ember is stable and just went to foster care today. She will also be going for vet care. It just breaks my heart when I see something like this. If anyone every hurt a hair one my Peanut's head I think I'd kill. |

I don't know what happened to her, I was just looking at there website. My daughter did some volunteering there and we also got our kitten there. I have some supplies to drop off so I'll see what I can find out. I would love to adopt her but I am at my limit (2 dogs, 2 birds, and a cat) maybe someone here would be interested in adopting her. |
I just called the shelter. This yorkie is a young girl. She was picked up as a stray. She was accutally on her way to the Vet hospital and then onto her foster home. The foster home is a good home (I was told). They told me that her wounds were scabbed, so this 'thing' that happened to her isn't fresh (well, not really, really fresh). They are not sure what happened to her or when, I think they may be investigating. I told her that I was going to make a donation for her care. |

Do you think contacting the local news to get the story out would be a good idea? I am only 15 minutes from this shelter so it really hits home. I was also thinking of getting a soft t-shirt for her to donate, since it is getting chilly and she is missing her hair. |

I love the T-Shirt idea! Will her hair ever grow back? If not, she's going to need a lot of shirts to keep her warm in the winter and prevent sunburn in the summer. I wish my sewing room was finished. I'd certainly be making her some. |
OMG how could anyone do something so.....horrible to such a sweet dog. :cry: At least she's in the hands of people who will take care of her now. Please keep us informed if you find anything else out about this sweet girl. She deserves a great forever home and if it could be with a YT'er that would be great. :) |
Why did I open that up! I hope whoever did that has misery and bad luck the rest of their lives. That poor baby girl. Thank God for her resucers. If only they could talk! Sick, Sick just plain sick. |
That is completely horrible, my heart is so broken. I really do not want to believe someone really hurt her like that:confused: But there are some really crazy heartless people in this world:( Its good that someone can donate and provide her with a shirt. |

If I had the money for her care, I would take her in a minute. But sadly I dont. |
I will go tomorrow and see if they want her to come to foster care with my rescue. We can take care of her medical and emotional needs. People make me sick. |
