I'd like to donate something for her as well.Maybe a coat would be nice and some toys :hearts-xx :hearts-xx  |
How horrible!!! I can't believe this. How could someone do that?!?! |
WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT????    whoever did it... i hope KARMA gets back to them 10x back!!! :cry8: :cry8: :cry8: :cry8: :cry8: |
That is totally horrific:mad: awful!awful!awful! Besides 6 abc, comcast also runs pets available for adoption on their channels. |
OMG that's so sad! The nerve of some people! I would take her if i had my own place, in a heartbeat! But i live with my mom and i am at my limit for now until i move out:( I really wish i could, ohh she is so cute and has a sweet face, i can't believe someone would do something like that! I wish i could go visit her atleast and maybe take a few clothes for her. |
That makes me cry just looking at her...poor little pumpkin.. |
this is just too sad. i don't understand how people can be so mean to animals!! they are so helpless and depend on us 100%. as i was telling someone yesterday...the sad part is that this pup probably loved...and still loves her owners. it's amazing how they give that kind of love. only to be treated like this in return. i hope she can live a happy, healthy, abundant life from now on! |
This rescue may be able to help http://www.yorkierescueme.com/default.asp They are throughout our area. |
OMG! That is the most dispicable thing I have seen. What a sweet little angel? I hope someone can help this little sweetie. :( :( :( |
OMG this is horrible!! I have a fleece sweat suit Im going to donate to her for the winter. Vicki, I didnt realize how close you were to me, Im in Pine Hill. |
I know that the shelter is closed today, but if anyone gets some info on how she is doing can they post. I was planning on going this weekend to drop things off. What size shirt do you think she would wear? It would be great if she could go with a yter. I sent a email to 6abc haven't hear anything. |
I don't want us to just let this story die. I have never been so horrified as I was by that picture of that poor baby. It sickens me and breaks my heart. Please keep us updated. I will DEFINATELY contribute for her medical care; I live in NJ and will do anything I can to help. Whoever did that - well I can't say what I wish for them or I'll be banned. PLEASE, PLEASE PM me if I can help IN ANY WAY!! |

I am originaly from Rockaway NJ :D I too think the best bet for this little gal is to be placed with a Yorkie Rescue - hopfully this is what will happen. This little girl will need some serious medical help and also serious emotional help before she can ever be placed in a loving furever home. May God help her to have a Happy and Healthy life from here on out. I sent the shelter a donation check and a letter expressing all my conerns for her. If someone goes to the shelter, can you find out more about her body weight and size? I too want to buy her some warm clothes for the winter and also some shirts to protect her in the summer, but it's hard not knowing what her size is - THANKS! |
I just called our local newspaper today and they said they would call the shelter and get some info. hopefully they will print something. I told them that she was abused and needed help. I will try the local news when I get home from work. I am for sure going to the shelter this weekend and try to find out more. |
This makes me sick to my stomach that some one could be so hateful to such a perfect little girl. please keep updating. |
Update This little one is already in a foster home where all of her needs will be taken care of. They do need donations to help with her care as it will be long term. Injuries like this take a long time to recover from. Hard on the dog and the foster mom. I let them know I was here if they decided that her care would be to ongoing for the foster home. Yes, this makes us sick but please put your energy towards thinking good things for this little girl. Pray for her and her care giver and try not to let hate fill your heart. The person that did this could care less about how you or the dog feels, so it's wasted energy. We see things like this in rescue every day~ I will be talking with the shelter manager tonight so if there is any more news I will post it. |

sunyluvsma - Thank you for the update. I sent them a check and I would love to send clothes too. If you find out about that  Do you know any more about her? Do they have an idea as to what exactly happened to her? |
Thank you so much for the update!! YT members are so caring and it is heartwarming to see everyone reach out to this sweet angel. Please keep us posted on what she needs. I would be happy to donote--whether it is money or clothes/supplies. Please let us know the best way to proceed! Thank you for keeping us in the loop. |
sunnyluvsma, thanks for the update!!!! |
I'm glad she's in a foster home! I hope her recovery will be speedy! |
***update*** The shelter just called me. They received my donation check and letter and wanted to call and update me and Thank me. Ember is with a Foster Mom. She is one of the staff members Mother's (who actually just lost her husband) - So Ember is being loved very much. This may be a perfect match and Ember might just stay there forever!!! Ember went to see a Vet and they think that Ember is high allergic to 'something' - She is actually itching and biting herself and as a result her hair has fallen out. YAY SHE DIDN'T BURNED!!!!! I told them I am so relieved to hear that she wasn't abused like originally thought! What a relief, THANK GOD that no one hurt her like that. I am still sad and concerned that she is still hurting, b/c she is obviously in a lot of pain and discomfort. The shelter still needs donations, so please do so if you were planning to. Thanks! |
No info on what size clothing to send yet? |
Here is the UPDATE (from Petfinder) http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=9536646 **Update - CCAS would like to thank everyone that has gotten in touch with us and cared about Ember! She has had her first vet visits and is doing well! One of our wonderful volunteers has opened up her heart and home to Ember and is giving her the medical attention and constant care that she requires. Ember's diagnosis is not clear at this time. While she may have been burned, she also may have a long unchecked case of mange or other skin disease. CCAS would like to stress that NEGLECT is still very much ABUSE. If it is indeed disease, had Ember received the proper veterinary case when she became sick, there is no way it could have gotten to this point. As always, we hope that Ember's story will shine a light and encourage anyone who suspects abuse or neglect to report the situation immediately! Time will tell Ember's doctors more and we will update everyone on her progress and prognosis! **Original Posting - Please don't look away - This very special girl is Ember. Little Ember has come to us with some sort of chemical burns over most of her body. This is one of the most shocking and horrific cases of animal abuse that we have seen at our Shelter. How anyone could intentionally harm this sweet girl, we cannot comprehend. Through all this hurt, Ember has been a sweet little trooper, even giving us some gentle kisses through her pain. Ember must have private veterinary care immediately. Our Shelter simply does not have the funds to provide the extraordinary vet care that Ember will need to make her well and whole again. Our Shelter has a special needs medical fund to help animals like Ember, but our resources are sadly depleted. Please help us help Ember by donating to her care - We are not going to let Ember be another statistic - We will save her! |
Thanks for the update! I'm glad she is in a good foster home where she'll be loved! |
OMG how can people be so cruel? They need to do to the person what they did to that little angel.. |

Update Email from the shelter: Hi Carole - I'm so sorry for the delay in getting back to you! It has been emergency after emergency around here. We are crazy full, so I am hitting up every rescue I know. I've got two going out next weekend, so I'm putting them into private kenneling to free up some space and juggling my butt off. Anyway, Ember is about five pounds and is about a year old. I hope this information helps. I know that the family can use clothes and bedding! That's what she needs. Another suggestion is maybe Petsmart gift cards for $5. They can add up when you get a few of them and it's cheaper to mail. |
AWESOME!!! Great Idea about the Gift Cards! A Walmart Gift card could be good too! They have lots of Tees and Bedding :p |
