Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Static control HELP! Some of you may know that Tuffy goes trucking with me & hubby. We've encountered a problem with static & I wondered if anyone has any ideas on how we can control it in his hair? It's so bad that he's shocking himself & I'm getting very concerned.

| I would try wiping him down daily with unscented baby wipes |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I believe "Plush Puppy" has something for static. But then, you might try watered down hair conditioner in a spray bottle. Just spray a light mist (not enough to get him wet) and this might help with the dryness that helps create the static.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Thank you both for your suggestions; I don't know why I didn't think of the conditioner & we carry wipes that I use to keep him fresh between his baths/showers. I take it Plush Puppy is a website?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Plush Puppy makes grooming products. I found the product I was thinking of, Swishy Coat, it's not cheap. I've used it before (not for static) and being that I don't show dogs, never found it that useful. A much more reasonable alternative would be the conditioner, or if they work the wipes. Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Thanks for the link; I was suprised to see they're going out of business; wonder if they'll somehow join their UK site with the US one. I dug around in Tuffy's case that we keep all his stuff in because I thought I'd bought him some of the Johnsons' baby detangler. I tried it last night on him just lightly & it seemed to do the trick too (he wasn't all staticy when he woke up this morning & he has been for the last couple weeks). I don't want to use it everyday though ( wouldn't want to make him greasy looking) so I'll try using the wipes & will post how it works too in case someone else is encountering the same dilemna. Funny how we'll do anything for our "kids" isn't it?
