| In need of dog sweaters.. please read! Hello all, I am in search of 3 dog sweaters. It's pretty drafty in our house and our 3 little furbabies can not tolerate this winters weather (Even though winter just started the weather it TERRIBLE this year, as I am sitting here writing this, it is -2 degrees outside... its not normally this cold). We have some sweaters but here's our dilemma; The sweaters we have aren't the tightly knit ones that are nice and warm... and they also don't have the leg straps that help to keep them on, so we are constantly having to redress them lol andddd they have short or no cuffs on the leg holes. So, I was hoping that you kind people could help us a little bit. I am unsure of sizes as every brand/line runs a little bit different when it comes to sizes, but here are the measurements: 1. 10" Long 9" Neck 13" Chest 2. 11" Long 9" Neck 15" Chest 3. 9" Long 7.5" Neck 12" Chest We are looking for nice WARM sweaters that have the leg straps and we are hoping we can find all three matching, but obviously that is the least of our worries right now. We just want our furbabies to be nice and warm for this horrid winter that we have yet to face the worst of. Any help that anyone can offer would be wonderful, as we were not prepared for it being THIS cold (our winters are usually cold, but nothing this bad). Thank You all so much for reading this post, Sheina |

| not to sound funny but there was someone on here that got the pet snuggie and it looked like it would keep these furbabies pretty cozy. Maybe you should look into getting that. I've seen them in stores. I know I saw it at Wahlgreens. Good luck, it sounds like it is really cold there, brrr.

| Thank You both for the quick replies. I will definitely look into them. I didn't even think of that... Do you know about how much they cost? Do they have the leg straps? Thats something we desperately need, they always get the sweaters off.. Last edited by 2MinPins; 12-17-2009 at 05:34 PM. Reason: remembered another ? |

| looked at the snuggie... We are looking for something that would be closer to there bodies, with leg straps. Hmmmm... I was really excited for a minute, but I don't think this will work for the simple fact that in some of the reviews I was just reading people were saying that their dogs were getting out of them A LOT and that means our little magicians will be out of them in seconds lol |

| If cost is a concern, try Walmart. They usually have nice sweaters in the $5 - $7 range.

| I've never had a problem with well-fitting clothes staying on without leg straps... here are my suggestions 1. 10" Long 9" Neck 13" Chest This is Sam's size - she is in between sizes in a lot of brands. Try I See Spot - small. Tanks run around $18 and are pretty warm for tanks. They fit her the best out of all of her clothes. Also, the Small Pet Edge(Casual Canine) plain color hoodie will fit - it comes in pink, electric blue, navy blue and red. The other hoodie styles are different sizes... Also mygofetch.com T3 hoodies should fit. 2. 11" Long 9" Neck 15" Chest Gooby Medium - their fleece hoodies are my fav 3. 9" Long 7.5" Neck 12" Chest Gooby Small might fit. It's a tiny bit tight on Sam but she has a 13.5" chest. Medium was too big on her... The warmest jackets out there are by Apache River - they are about $50 but I got each of mine a jacket and they have lasted 2&3 years now, with washings. You purchase by length and then the chest is adjustable. My friends at Two Bostons Two Bostons Pet Boutique ~ Naperville IL sell them, just call their store if you can't find them anywhere online. They are hard to find but I promise the quality is worth the price. They DO have leg straps... I cut them off!

| Hi Sheina, I am not an expert on the warmth factor as I usually layer but I just ordered 3 sweaters from Becky (a YT member - My Sophia) that are just adorable and very reasonably priced. Here is a link to the thread that I heard about them from. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yt-seller-feedback-seller-reviews/190445-thank-you-so-much-my-sophia.html Becky was wonderful, has made them to order and even did one that will match Zoey's carrier perfectly! Maybe give her a pm and see? Good luck! Attaching pic of the ones we are getting... two like I had seen but with ruffles and then the one special to match the carrier. Becky is really terrific! | Those are my sweaters and I LOVE Them they are awesome!!! Becky does a wonderful job, I would have suggested her but you said you wanted LEGS. Beckys sweaters do NOT roll up they fit perfectly and you can even ask her to make them extra long. She does a beautiful job on these and they are toasty warm.
