before you buy a doggy sling bag or pet sling, check out the reviews of the dog carrier by the actual users! reviews tell you so much about the dog carrier. don't ever buy a dog carrier without a review! if there is no review, there might be a reason why there is no review. many people buy dog carriers and end up not using them. cutest looking dog carrier can be really uncomfotable for you and your dog. Ask any dog owners with dog carrier. they will tell you how many dog carriers they have and they'll tell you that they only use certain ones that are comfortable. if it's not comfortable, you might never use it again. do a little research on pet sling online and make sure you get the best dog carrier for you and your dog that you will actually use! =)

oh and you don't want to buy dog carriers that other owners are selling. [whisper]they are selling because they don't like them. doing a little research will save you time and money! See how many people are selling their old dog carrier that they bought! if you take a look in the Yorkie Classified section here, everyone is selling their old "purse type" dog carriers. You know why they are selling? it's cute, but it's uncomfortable. imagine you are carrying 8lb-10lb dumbell in those carriers. yes... your arm will fall off in 10 min. do the research, picture the weight in those carriers. don't make the same mistake as others. peace out

I am sorry I 100% disagree with your post as for reasons YT members are selling items. I have some very nice dog carrier 's that I just use any more because my Yorkie has "grown out of it" . I have aslo bought several doggy bags thinking I was going to use them all the time since I have 6 Yorkies but they have seemed to multiply on a shelf in my garage any not being used. They are in great condition. Also during this economy problem in the US (people loosing jobs) some doggy bags etc and are being sold because they need money for bills, food etc. I myself have been off work without pay for the past 7 weeks because I fractured my hip on 1/23 , had surgery , continuing rehab etc and my medical bills and other bills have been pilling up !!!!. My Husband is now working 60 hrs a week just to help out with expenses. I was the major bread winner of the family before my accident and I will need to be off work without pay at least 5 more weeks at the earliest. Then since I am floor Nurse in a Nursing Home I would have to come back doing my same job without any restictions. That means pushing med carts up and down the halls for three big med passes since I work 12 hr shifts.(which are all required) . My Husband and I are really wondering if I will be able to handle it all and not quit. I actually yesterday started to think I should sell some of my doggy items and other things I have because my bills are getting out of control and the creditors are not giving me a break. I have to just figure out how to post a picture of items first on the YT that I can post on.. I have bought items before from YT owners because I know they are more honest people than EBAY or Craig's list. If someone sees and item for sale on this board please don't assume its because they "Just don't like it " and if asked in a PM why they are selling it I am sure they would reply back. Sorry to disagee. Last edited by Janie Doyle; 03-14-2009 at 10:16 AM.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | This is really the only pic I can find... Something like this, is kind of what I was thinking about. Not this exact one, but that is *comfortable*, and that Lola can snuggle into. i was thinking about one that the strap goes across your chest. Kind of like a "baby sling", like women who carry their babies in a nice piece of cloth? If I were handy with a sewing machine at all, I would try to make one, but I have never sewn anything in my life, so that could be a scary thought . I REALLY appreciate everyone's suggestions!! I like the pink one that is picture, but I like it "okay", and I want to find something I love, because otherwise, it won't get much use, like my other 5 bags I have P.S. Lola weighs about 4.5lbs. But your advice to read reviews was right on. There are some carriers that just do not work as well as they look.

I just saw pics of Miley Cyrus carrying her maltese in the one with pink you have shown. It's very cute! Last edited by Breeze; 03-15-2009 at 06:22 PM.
