Not sure on the lbs., but iof it helps Lily is 4lbs and they fit her perfectly with a little extra room.

Not sure on how many lbs. it would hold but it is 17 1/2 inches long X 10 1/2 inches tall X 6 inches wide. lily weighs 4lbs and my chi weighs 5 ibs, they each would fit in it with extra room. Shana sells these so maybe she would know the lb. limit. Sorry, hope that helps.
