I was blown away by Sonja's creative and personalized design. I can't wait to see it.

Cindy (Chattie's Mom) is also sending me a silk bellyband in a very cool neutral plaid for me to try. I'll let you know how that one works out as well and send pics of both styles.

I received Sonja's custom bellband on Saturday. It is beautiful and well crafted. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It nearly fit Johnny perfectly and he was strutting around in it like the BMOC that he is! He was life of the Bunko party that night!

The only problem I found was that the bottom of the hole created for the tail lies right under his tail and rubs at his little bumhole. Since the hole lies too high (a majority of the whole is open above his tail), the material covers his little bumhole and he has no opening to poop. Needless to say, 5 minutes after I put it on him (and, no, there's NO way for him to escape...much to his disappointment!), I was cleaning out poop and washing/drying it so he could wear it to the Bunko party I was hosting that night.

Any ideas?

Hmmm... maybe you could pull the belly part more to the front so that the top part comes further back and the opening further down? If that doesn't work please send it back and I'm going to change it!!!!!

What you received in the mail is a BRILLIANT INNOVATIVE NEW product. I can only speak for myself, but when I develop a new product and mail out the first few, I expect that minor adjustments will need to be made to the final product. This is especially the case when I rush like a mad woman to design, sew and mail out something brand new to fill a customer's needs. What I ask is that the customer pm me about any minor glitches and allow me the opportunity to fix them before posting a review.

I think this Belly-Band Harness is a fantastic idea and will bring much success to Mitzi. Way to go girl!

By the way, as I discussed with Sonja privately, I personally think that after spending nearly 10 minutes tossing, turning and chasing the overall straps in an unsuccessful attempt to escape, Cash threw himself on the ground, arms and legs thrown out and plopped his chin to the floor in a humph of resignation and frustration. I truly believe he pooped in the thing to "stick it to me". Stubborn little guy.

For the record, I was not critiquing or criticizing Mitzi's work. Her work is phenomenal and I'm a huge fan and I thought I expressed that in my post. I just thought maybe I misjudged Cash's dimensions or that maybe, as Mitzi suggested, I had an alternate adjustment to make (in the straps perhaps or with the velcro) that I wasn't doing properly. It IS quite a contraption and user error is quite possible. In fact, that was the problem. It fits fine now. I also thought the whole story was kind of funny and wanted to post it here, but didnt' express the humor in it clearly until I expanded on it this morning in my post about Cash's fit over not being to escape.
