Looking for a Large Playpen Fellow YT Lovers I will be bringing my new Yorkie home in about a week. I am looking for a playpen that is large enough for her to sleep in while I am away, and also big enough for play! If you know of anyone, let me know. Bella & Maria

You might find a good deal at at second hand baby shops. they usually only take nice stuff since they have to be careful selling it second hand to use for other children.

Do you have garage sales in you're area? I bought a couple very inexpensively at garage sales and they were very clean.

Red98vett, Thanks! I checked a Sanford, NC Walmart and they didn't have it. I will be planning to go to SC tomorrow, and will stop by one the W/M SuperCenters. I also am planning on going to a local consignment shop tomorrow. Another thought is the Toys R Us. I just thought that maybe W/M may have a website. I'll check that out in the meantime.

| We have the plastic puppy playpen and we love it. It has 6 sections that snap together so you can adjust it to fit your space...I've even opened it up and used it as a gate. You can use it inside and out, it's heavy plastic, washable, folds for storage and the sections come apart. We bought it at Farm & Fleet...I think it was either $49.00 or $79.00...it's been a while so I don't remember. There's plenty of room for food & water dishes, wee-wee pad and a bed. We keep it by the patio door so he can watch the birds and squirrels while we're gone...and yes, I do keep food & water and a wee-wee pad in there for him but I just mopped the floors and I didn't put things back yet. | Thanks Jo-Jo, Thanks! That would be perfect. That's what I am looking for. I've been checking the Toys R Us and the Walmart websites, but haven't made progress. Red98vett had said there was a $35 one at Walmart, but haven't seen the one she referred to. Might you know if the company you mention has a website? I am going to try to see. ~Bella & Maria~ |

Hi Bella...I called out to our store to get the info. It's called Pet Yard XT and the cost is $49.99. I also looked up Farm & Fleet on the internet and it looks like they only have stores in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. Maybe you can search for the brand name and order it direct? If you can't find one let me know and I'll do what I can to help you out. Teri & Jo-Jo

Thank you both! Jo-Jo and Shelbies Heart, I did the Google Search and PetSmart has it. It is called a Pet Yard Containment Pen, which measures 30"W by 26"H, for $49.99. In addition, you can purchase an extension, which consists of two panels, each 30"W, for $24.99. I will check Toys R Us tomorrow in SC since I know where it is(I moved from SC to NC last Nov) and see if they have it there. If not, I'll order it online. This is the best forum for Yorkie Lovers! What a team you guys make. Thank you both. ~Bella & Maria~
