golly gee. I made a mistake on the size of the car seats.
Measures 13.5"W x 13.5"D x 7.5"H. I thought I had ordered the bigger one and didn't.

no they can not be used as a carrier. sorry

I know the car seat says it can hold the up to 22 lbs and it probably could (never tried that size ) but Ahia ( which is 10 lbs) can sit in it but she can't lay down. If you have a 5 1/2 lb dog, such as I have, they have no problem laying down in it.
