This!.... This ducky bath robe is for sale all over the place for $3.99 (for an xs) up to $7.99 (for an xl)! It is on page 118 in the Late Fall 2006 PetEdge catalog ~or~ page 10 in this January's catalog. Why are you doing this to other members? To make a fast buck? These items are For Sale on other well known sites for alot less than you are selling them for!

And FYI, the shipping is different than you suggested. Most people order more than one item when purchasing from these places. Therefore their final bill would then define their shipping costs. I think www.petedge.com is $7.95 for an order of $50-70 which adds up pretty fast. Then on www.dog.com I think I had free shipping with an order of $40-50 but I upgraded it to FedEx for $.99!

You've only been on here a month, and instead of reading and learning, you're running your mouth about this and that. And if you did "any" homework you'd find out which people already have successful stores on here and what they sell. You'd also find a ton of stores to buy dog items from. But most of us pass this info on to fellow YT'ers rather than trying to make a few bucks off of them.

And BTW - this is a PUBLIC forum.... it does not belong to you. Things can and will be said after you post on here. That's the way it works.

FIRST OF ALL I have checked the site dog.com and it is 7.95 s/h and the PJs are more if you buy one and most or my order are FOR ONE. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE to tell me WHERE I get my items from BECAUSE YOU ARE INSISTING AND BASHING ME TELLING ME THATS WHERE I GET THEM FROM AND THAT IS NOT WHERE I GET MY ITEMS FROM!!!!! IF YOU WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN RUNNING YOUR MOUTH ABOUT THIS AND THAT you would of READ that I ALSO WAS THINKING ABOUT OPENING A STORE!!!! So you mean to tell me that I have to tell YOU where I get my items from so everyone can get it for A CHEAP price........Well then if that was the case there wouldn't be a thing CALLED WHOLESALE AND HALF OF THE STORE OWNERS WOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS!!!!!! I'm all for people opening online sites ...but please don't say they cost that much on the net - I bought the Duck robes for my girls for less than 5 $ online. actually they were so affordable I bought extras as gifts.

I really had to think about this before I posted a reply because I wanted this to be in the nicest way possible. I am not trying to bash you, but I have to admit, I am not very happy with you.

A few weeks ago you created a post asking for treat recipies so you could bake some treats for your own furbabies. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62956
You clearly stated that you just wanted to bake for your own furkids. Several members gave you some. I myself sent you some in a pm. I foolishly thought I was sharing my recipies with a good hearted newbie who wanted to spoil their furkids. I was very upset and offended when you pm'ed me back and said you hoped to be selling treats yourself in a month or so and you again pm'ed me to ask how business was when you seen I had posted my treats here. Yes, I was evasive in my response to you, but really I wanted to say, NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Any income I make from my treats, which is minimumal, is used to supplement mine and my husbands income. I work hard and dilligently to get the treats to the point where I am happy with them.

It sure looks like you are trying to either rip people off, or take away business from people who are already here selling.

If you want to open your own online store/business..then GREAT! But please, do NOT build your business on other people's ideas or products. Create your own, come up with your own ideas. If you are getting things at wholesale to sell, that is great too! But it would be far better if you already have the items in stock.

The people here are great and they support eachother sometimes by shopping from the sellers/store owners and sometimes just by being a friend. And if a YT member doesn't have what another is looking for, most of them will send the searcher in the proper direction to find what it is they want at a great deal! Sometimes that means directing them to another YT seller or featured Store owner...but that is what this site is about.

Everyone here is like extended family. We help eachother, we grieve with eachother, we pray for eachother, and we cry and hurt with other members when they are crying and hurting and when they have something to rejoice or celebrate we rejoice and celebrate with them.

On a side note, my treats and the names I gave them are copyrighted and have been copyrighted since 2006 to Willow's Creature Comforts and I have that clearly stated on my website.

OK look I WOULD NEVER try and rip ANYONE off!!! I had just wanted to see how the products would sale I DIDN"T KNOW that they may have these products for cheaper else where and the sites that I was given the prices where not cheaper or was right at mine...........Look I'll be leaving this site because I feel that I am not wanted and that people precieve me as something THAT I AM TRULY NOT! And I am not opening a Treats store, it was indeed for my furbaby and I though I would sell then in my neighborhood but I had added more ingredients to make the creation my own, I have been learning about the Business MGMT and MKTG for 4 1/2 years now matter a fact I got my Bachelors in it so I was not trying to rip anyone HONESTLY!! (sorry you two though I was) I have met such good and wonderful people here but I feel that I will leave............I will still fulfill my olbilgation on the YT Exchange part..........I'll post again in the right section to tell everyone Bye

Don't take it like that...there's plenty of people with stores ....no one wants anyone to leave

The message I was getting from these posts was about competitive pricing -

It's easy to take a product and add $ so you can make a little..and some will even buy no matter what the price .... BUT....There are some serious shoppers here that DO watch price, so when other sites offer the same things at less, you really can't say you're selling at the lowest cost if it's not true

To EVERYONE that send me a PM that you SOOOOOOO much ya'll brought my spirts up. Thank you for your words of encourgement to pursue whatever I may feel and thank you for understanding where I was coming from I DEFINETLY KNOW there are some VERY GOOD PEOPLE ON HERE!! I would like to say it again I am a good person and if I have let anyone down I apoligize but it wasn't my intent I hope you take that and know that I just wasn't AWARE and thats the Good Honest Truth!!! I also thank the ones that emailed me and still wanted to purchase the PJs, but I take it upon myself that I WILL NOT sell them I'm so sorry for the inconvenience that I may have caused and you can ask the other ones where to get these PJs from because obviously they may know. So from all of that I conclude that I took everyone that PM'd me suggestions about other people on the site and ways to go about being on this site and will say that I will not be leaving, this is a good site and I will not let anyone (not pointing any fingers) ruin it, this site has help me as a new yorkie owner and helped Bailey and in the future will help me with my new yorkie Blaire I guess thats why I have so many post I had so many questions and I guess I do spend alot of my free time on here I am not angry with anyone not even you cj125 which I'm sure you can care less but it was just upsetting to me but look thats in the past ANYWAY thats basically why I posted just to let everyone know I am staying, thanks for the PMs, and I will not be selling the PJs.......

Just my 2 cents.

Just so you know I didn't read everything above, just enough to know there is a loud controversy.

My husband asked me why I would consider selling things on the internet that everyone else has for the same price. He doesn't think I would get any money if everyone is selling the same product at the same time. I told him, it depends on how attractively an item is advertised and when someone sees it. If they see my ad before they see any other ads they will buy from me. It's the same way I shop. Once I find the item I want, I don't usually look further if I feel the price is fair or if I really want it.

No one makes anyone buy anything at any price. You are free to buy or not buy and shop further. I don't think it serves any good purpose to get angry once you've told your side of the story and expressed your opinion. Sylvia
