I don't think it will fit. It's about 6" across the back laying flat out and the same in front. The neck is 8".

now logically, a yorkie wouldn't have an 8" neck and a 6" chest ... (you have to double the chest measurement b/c you are only measuring it in half) .. so the chest measurement of the outfit would be 12" and your baby's chest is 10".

in my opinion this item is NOT too small for your baby, if anything it might be a bit big!!! Check the numbers again!
