by: juicycouturebagshttp://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gif( 66http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/i...Star_25x25.gif) http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gifhttp://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/r...mgAvaBadge.gifhttp://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/r...aBadge1000.gif

Ebay is known for its cheap immitations and fake bags so here is my guide on how spot fake Juicy Couture Bags & Carriers, what to look for when you're purchasing a Juicy Couture Bag, and information on buying from legitimate sellers.
Juicy Couture Made in the USA?
The first thing to know and the most unknown information on finding an authentic Juicy Couture Bag is that 90% of Authentic Juicy Couture Bags are actually manufactured in China and have "Made in China" on the manufacturers tag. I encourage all of you interested in buying a Juicy Couture Bag to take a trip to Nieman Marcus or Nordstroms and check out the tags and you will see they all say "made in china". But you thought Juicy Couture was Made in the USA right? So did I until I started selling them. The truth is almost all affordable designer bags are manufacturered in China, however the company itself is "made in the USA" hence why Juicy Couture and many other popular Designer Handbags such as Kenneth Cole and Coach all claim to be USA companies, but get their bags manufactured in China. This is why Juicy Couture uses the slogan "Made in the USA". So what does this mean? Unfortunetly the actual tag is not as much help in determinng a Fake Juicy Couture Bag, however your bag should definitly have a tag on it and make sure real cowhide leather is used.
Authentic Juicy Couture Characteristics

Almost All Authentic Juicy Couture Carriers have small metal knobs with Juicy Couture Engravings on them. If your bag has little metal knobs or feet at the bottom of the bag, make sure there are little Juicy Couture markings on them. I have seen several replicas with plain knobs.

The tag should say 100% Cowhide Leather, cheap immitations have "leather like" material. Authentic Juicy Bags & Carriers use 100% real leather trim, handles, ect. Real Leather is nice and Soft and has a Matte Pebbled Finish on almost all leather Juicy Couture Baby Fluffs, Totes, Satchels ect. Even the Metalic Leather Bags have a more Matte Finish. Unfortunatly fake bags are becoming more advanced and many actually use real leather.
Almost All Charms & Hardware will have Juicy Couture or some type of Logo engraved into the metal. I've seen several immitations where the hardware is plain.Authentic Juicy Couture Sellers

Be very weary of sellers who do not disclose information about themselves. This is why I have an about me page with my picture and information. I am not hiding anything=)
Ask your seller questions!! Authentic Juicy Couture Sellers are easy to communicate with and are not afraid to answer your questions. I spend almost every morning and evening answering emails and questions so always ask even if its just to reassure yourself. Be very weary of low starting bids. Although it is popular on ebay to start bids very low, if you bought a bag wholesale for $100 you are not going to sell it for a penny, 50 bucks, or less than $100. This is a sure sign the bag might not be Authentic because it is selling way to low! I cant stress how important this is. The majority of Authentic bags that are on ebay are listed at Full Price, it is not common for people to be able to get Juicy Couture at wholesale prices. Please don't forget to ask your sellers where they get their Juicy! Juicy Couture sold from outside the USA are probably not authentic (not to mention if something does go wrong you will probably have a hard time communicating with the seller so international sales are usually non refundable). While most Juicy Couture is manufactured in China, those manufacturers are under strict contracts. All Juicy Couture is shipped to distribution centers in the US. ** The only way to get discounted Juicy Couture is to get it directly from the Distribution Center, not just anyone can do this, you really have to know someone. Also almost all counterfeit bags are made outside the USA so the odds of finding an authentic Juicy Couture Bag are better if it is from a US seller.NEW** DROP SHIPPING: I just came across a costumer who purchased a Baby Fluff bag which seemed to be authentic and was made out of nice real leather. However she informed me that the bag arrived to her and was shipping straight from China. Juicy Couture Manufacturers in China would never allow this and are in strict contracts. Many companies do what is called "Drop Shipping". So an ebayer puts a fake bag up for bid using the picturer from the manufacturer in China. Then when you buy the bag the ebay seller pays an extra $5 to have the Fake bag manufacturer in China to ship the bag directly to you. So they basically make a huge profit by just collecting your money and sending it to the manufacturer in China. The box will often have chinese writting and is usually shipped by a non traditional carrier. The most obvious is to make sure the bag you're buying was actually made by Juicy Couture. I have seen several pictures of Fake Juicy Couture Bags which are similiar to the original but are made of different material. For example the pictures below even though Juicy Couture made a similiar bag they were never in these colors and this bag is all a leather like material where as the Authentic is Terry or Velour with Leather Trim. Only certain bags are made with all leather and they usually sell for $250 +. Also look at that tacky J

The picture below doesn't need much explaining, it is an obvious fake even though the shape and details are similiar to the original the color is all wrong, the material is not real leather and I don't believe this bag every even came in that weird purple metalic foil color.

I would post many more pictures, but I dont want to offend any sellers on ebay. However if you have any questions Please Feel Free to Email Me Either through Ebay or personally at my email address provided on almost all my auction pages.

My last piece of advice is what I like to call "Who is your seller". What are the odds that a man shipping out of Ohio is selling Juicy Couture at discounted prices? Not likely. First The distribution Center is in Los Angeles and what are the odds he would know someone in Los Angeles? Not to mention how much does he know about Juicy Couture? See what I mean?

Thumbs down

Juicy will NEVER wholesale their items and the AUTHENTIC sellers are on the Juicy site. Only Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks, and some other online sites are authentic resellers. There are of course the people who sell authentic Juicy on eBay but usually these are people that buy at the stores mentioned above.

Just the thought of buying a bulk supply of Juicy threw me off right away. They would never do that and in fact, they do not allow it. Not only that but a lot of the pictures on that site that you are looking at are pictures STOLEN from other websites like Neiman Marcus/Nordstrom/etc. and when you click to enlarge the picture on the wholesale site, it is a COMPLETELY different picture. Just beware that you may not receive what you think you are getting or what they are showing you online.

This is just my opinion but if you are going to spend anywhere from $50-$100 on a fake Juicy, why not get the real deal? Like I mentioned before, if designer authenticity does not matter to you, then thats great but do you really want to own a fake designer bag? Why not get a cute bag from Petsmart or somewhere else for $20-$40? Just my two sense.

Just be careful with that site because a lot of his pictures are not his own and they are stolen from other websites.

You are right, people won't scrutinize your bag but the knockoffs are not made nearly as well as the real bags...I bought a couple knockoffs in the past and I always had problems with the zipper breaking or the stitching falling apart.

I am not trying to be mean or rude, just trying to prepare you for what you are getting and the experiences I have gone through. I just didn't want you to be fooled into thinking you are getting a real, authentic Juicy handbag.

Yes, it appears that when you click on the picture you do get a different picture, but it does not say CLICK TO ENLARGE, in fact if you click on properties (which tells where the picture came from)... you shall see that it says detail, and also gives his own URL as the source ...

Look, I do not KNOW for sure if itz authentic or not, but I do believe you will get what you pay for ..and as alwayz, caveat emptor, itz nice that you are looking out for everyone ....

However, if you ask a group of insurance adjusters, you would find out that if a shipment has ONE "water damaged" item, the entire shipment is considered 'damaged' and thatz how there are "salvage" and 'sale' items ....

Yes, my brother is an insurance adjuster and I have gotten many electrical items that were perfect but b/c the shipment had one or two damaged boxes .... itz considered a loss, but definitely covered by insurance. It eventually getz sold as 'salvage' or 'liquidation sales'

I am not trying to be confrontational, however, why burst anyone's bubble if they want to have a designer bag that for all we know IS authentic and just a great deal.

Where and how do you think stores like "Marshalls" and "TJ Maxx" are able to sell items at a discount? And then there are our favs ... OUTLETS! and yes, there is a JUICY COUTURE outlet in Woodbury Commons, NY ...

Omg

Yes, I am extremely aware of the outlets and/or Marshalls/TJ Maxx stores. Although Marshalls/TJs hardly have any Juicy bags or clothes. Basically there are bags from each season that do not sell as well as other bags and this is why you will see older styles of bags at the outlets. Coach does the same thing with their outlets.

And I never said that it STATED click to enlarge for the pictures on the website, it is just common sense/knowledge that when you click on a picture on a website, you are simply enlarging the picture or maximizing the picture. Of course the URL will have the knockoff site as the URL because basically the owner went to the department store sites and saved the pictures so that he could put them on his site and claim them as his own. People do it everyday and I know of a lot of auctions on eBay that do this. It's funny how the pictures look so SIMILAR to those on Neiman Marcus and Nordstorm!

I have a full time job but work for eBay on the side helping them eliminate fake/knockoff sellers just like this guy. I even did a report on where the money/profits go when you buy or invest in a knockoff/replica bag. Believe me, the findings were scary and it was stated on reputable sites like CNN and NBC. Good luck with whatever you get.

I compared the bags on his website with the bags shown on Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus' bags and there was NOT one that looked like any of his. Perhaps he is selling last year's line? But if people want them, they should not have to hear you say that these are fakes, UNLESS, you had one and itz cheesy, but without first hand knowledge, I'd say go with your gut instinct. and as alwayz... caveat emptor.
You make many allusions but nothing definite! So CNN and NBC did reports on this fraud. Did they say EVERYONE is a fraud???

I found this on another website and it seems to confirm your warning ....
BEWARE of FAKE JUICY on EBAY. There are many sellers from Hong Kong who are selling fake bags. Make sure the barcode is on the tags, ALSO the Daydreamer bag does NOT come with a dustbag, the fake sellers have added a dustbag, thinking this makes it authentic. ALSO, Juicy does not COVER the handles with plastic (as seen on some of the fake diaper bags, dog carriers and other daydreamer styles.) Juicy does not cover the handles in plastic. I just want you to be an informed buyer. Thanks!!

It's okay...don't worry about it I just try to look out for some people if it seems as if they may get what they didn't hope for. I am a bag FREAK and have been buying designer begs left and right for the past few years so I did my homework when I first started buying them.

I am sorry if I came off rude or arrogrant, I just wanted to look out for a fellow Yorkie talker

By the way-not sure if you ever bought the Juicy carrier but I bought a REALLY cute Vera Bradley Pet carrier

I am still looking for one that will fit ... Monday is 13" long when she is in the 'down' position so I don't want to cramp her ...
I used to do what you are doing on here... I used to warn people about RAMADA RESORTS PLAZA on eBay .... so I really should have recognized that you were trying to help .... there's a dark side to too many things .... thanks a lot,
Debbie
