I got a Honda CRV. So far I love it. I think the pups like it too. We once bought a small VW motor home for them so we could travel with them and they wouldn't have to be traumatized by hotel rooms that they didn't recognize. Yeah, they're pretty spoiled. Lol

You are so right. Lol. We loved ours and the pups always got excited when we hit the road. Sadly our RV was totaled in a hail storm a couple of years ago but it was fun while we had it.

I've wanted one of them for a while. I ended up ordering the Year of the Snake Viper instead, and I love it. I still want the Natural and will get one in the future. I am curious how it does without treating it. I have saddle leather treatments, but I'm not sure if they should be used or how it will change the leather. I'm spurious how it is for you. I love the fact that its so soft.

I took my Buddy Belts to RAM Leather to get them treated and they told me that they didn't need to be treated because they are not raw leather. They told me not to waste my money on treating them. I liked their honesty. My kids have gone through a lot of wet grass and it hasn't hurt them at all. The lady at RAM Leather told me that Tina Turner sends all of her leather to them for cleaning and maintenance so I guess I have to trust them. lol

I have red, black, cocoa, and Viper Buddy Belts, and I haven't treated them. The natural is different from the other ones, and I love the look of the natural leather. Kristin mentions using leather treatments on them.

I have a natural & I treated it with lemon oil and beeswax...just because I'm impatient & that's what I had in the house at the time. It darkened the leather a bit & I really love the look of it now. I was going for the "Louis Vuitton" patina & I think I came pretty close. Here are some before & after pictures:

Buddy Belt Harness Natural

Buddy Belt officially recommends treating the harnesses, especially the Natural. However, I have never treated Max and Teddy's, and they wear them in all kinds of weather. Lisa, I though of you and Katie recently when we were caught in a rain storm and the boys' BBs came home soaking wet. No damage.

The most important thing to remember is not to subject them to artificial or intense heat or the leather will shrink. One person dried hers on a radiator and another put the harness in the back window of a car. Both shrunk.
