no I'm not talking about homemade clothing... i'm talking about glamourdog.com and pamperedpuppy.com... but I do think my store is being compared to those homemade stores. When the clothing is not homemade and you have to buy them yourself... that of course is always going to make items more expensive.

Cheap Asian clothing is easy to find where you live? REALLY?

well... Most of the brands I carry are NOT cheap even when you buy it in their own country... maybe we are talking about two different things here. I only have brands from Japan (which everything from there is so EXPENSIVE.. so there is no way you are talking about those), and I have a very expensive brand from Korea. I think I know what your talking about with cheap clothing from Asia.. and that is NOT the same things as what i'm carrying. The items I have in my store ARE unique...

She actually is correct, Louis Dog is out of Korea and their stuff is EXCEPTIONAL quality (ask Anna she just got an Agite house from me). Not all Asian items are cheap at all, of course in any country you will find cheap items, but you will also find high quality items as well. In order to keep my site as unique as possible I too import some items, and I pay a fortune on shipping and customs costs (about $70 pet order, which is what I do to have some original items). I commend you for wanting to have a website that is unique as there are a lot of followers. You can tell by the items that they are high quality, but of course as always you have to understand that some people arent willing to pay that.

I have a website as well, but I wanted you to know that I completely understand what you are saying, and the comments about asia dog items being cheap are completely invalid.

I believe if you ladies go back and reread my post you will see that nowhere did I say asian dog clothes or items were cheap. What I said was that the textile industry, (as well as other industries) in maine and other states have been decimated by cheap asian imports. I realize that there are alot of quality products that are made overseas. I just prefer to try and buy American products whenever possible. My comment was more about her statement that American sites were asking as much or more than she was. Quality, unique products are made in America also. So please don't misquote me.

Fortunately for all of us selling in the doggie buz and for consumers...there is enough of a market and supply to accommodate a wide range of economic status and taste.

There are nice quality products in America... maybe I should explain little better... my store is bringing NEW high quality brands from ASIA to AMERICA.

I hope that clears up any concerns.

I wasnt trying to argue I was just simply stating that not all Asian clothes are cheap because you said that "Finding clothes of "any" kind made in Asia isn't to difficult these days." That is actually not the case, it is very difficult to communicate with the higher end asian boutiques, where the quality is exceptional, which makes up for the barriers such as shipping and communcation. I understand you were referring to the textile industry but I interpreted as you implying that the asian dog industry will too "decimate by cheap asian imports." Honestly, I dont feel like getting into a debate on countries origin of production. Sorry about that
