| ![]() I'm going to try and make Brody a fleece blankie. I want to have a prezzie for him when he comes home from his neutering tomorrow. He's being such big boy! My question is, Should I wash and dry the fleece before sewing? Thanks! ![]()

| ![]() I wash mine after I finished sewing, so I don't have rolled edges to deal with. |

| ![]() Thanks y'all. I put it together then washed it. No more germs! It's all squeeky clean for him now. He gets to come home at 9am on Sat. I can't wait to have my baby boy back!! ![]() On a side note, I was surprised how well it washed up. I was expecting pilling even though I bought the non-pill fleece. I'm usually pretty unlucky with such things. LoL /hugs

| ![]() Best of luck to your little boy. He is so lucky to have a mommy like you. Hope he gets to come home on time and enjoys his fleece blanket. That was certainly a cute and thoughtful idea for him.

| ![]() Thanks y'all! Brody is doing well. He slept most of the first day he was home. He took to his new blankie like it was an old friend! He curled up in it and barely left. Even my husband was surprised. Usually my crafty projects miss the mark. LoL I do need to credit this idea to Shadow. I hope she doesn't mind. /worried If I'd had the time I definitally would have ordered one from her. But I didn't see her blankies until the day before Brody was to come home. ![]() Here's how it turned out:

| ![]() Brody's doing much better. I'd say almost back to his ol' self. It's so hard keeping him from jumping on and off the couch. He's even braving the stairs when I disappear. He still isn't up to eating his old food. I'm not sure if that's because he's been spoiled with canned and hamburger/rice. LoL We'll give him a few more days to heal up from the teeth too. Then we'll gradually start adding his crunchies back in. ![]() Thanks so much for asking. ![]()
