				   | Per my quote in JeanieK's "Pink Polka dot beds" thread back in early July http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...98#post1235298 (see my quote below), I wanted to post pictures now that I received my bed... Quote:
(just for me to complete the occasional project), and I didn't want to post pictures of Sukoshi's new bed until I made the bedskirt to go on it, but since I've yet to find time to turn on my sewing machine , I decided I didn't want to put off my pictures and review of Jeanie's beautiful bed any longer, and I will just have to show you all...minus the bedskirt (which will be a solid, coordinating aqua/blueish color). As I said in my previous post, I mailed Jeanie the fabric for the sides of Sukoshi's bed, and I requested a square one because I wanted it to fit in a bed that I'd been looking at getting for Sukoshi's 1-year birthday present. She said she'd never done a square one before, but that she could try, and I must say...it came out beautifully! I see she's made more square ones since then, so I guess my project didn't scare her off !!!! I'm actually getting ready to order another bed from Jeanie to fit in Sukoshi's crate where she sleeps at night (that's right Jeanie...look for a PM from me soon ), and I'd recommend her to anyone! Thanks again for your beautiful work Jeanie. I hope you enjoy seeing the pics...FINALLY!!!!Old Bed.JPG Here is the original bed. I'm not a fan of gold or leopard print, so although I'd had my eye on the frame since we first got Sukoshi, I had grand plans to make it more to my liking... New Bed - Old Frame.JPG Here is the bed the day we got Jeanie's "mattress". I'd given her the measurements of the frame, and the bed fit perfectly. At this point, I'd just put the leopard print bed inside Jeanie's bed, so it didn't have any stuffing in it at this point... New Bed - New Frame.JPG Here is the bed after my hubby painted the frame black for me... All Done.JPG And lastly, here is the bed with Jeanie's mattress with some additional stuffing, the frame painted black, and the bedknobs painted silver (although I may have my hubby go ahead and paint those black too, or I may cover them with a leftover piece of fabric and tie a little coordinating ribbon around it...I'm just not loving the matte silver)... This is the perfect 1-year birthday present for Sukoshi, and as you can see in that last pic...she's loving it already!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Jeanie! | Thank You for the nice review, and for the great pictures. It turned out perfect. That is a bed fit for a princess. And it looks like the "princess" loves it. |

				   | I got it off eBay, although I've seen them other places too. They are around $90 most places (and even some I've seen on eBay) if you buy the first one you see, but I waited patiently, and I finally found this brand new one on eBay for $25 ($40.81 including shipping). It's the Petmate Nap of Luxury pet bed. Good luck! |
