| crates i'm looking for a crate for mocha since i will be travelling in about a month and would like to take her along. most of the pet friendly hotels require that the pet stays in the crate while left unattended. i have never crated mocha (she's always had a bed and is free to roam the house when i'm gone) so i was wondering if any of you could give me some suggestions into purchasing one that's not too expensive (still a college student! ), but would be adequate. thanks!

| i've noticed that Walmart has great crates and not too expensive. make sure you get her used to it far in advance of expecting her to sleep in it. although the hotel SAYS they have to be crated, i'm sure you could let her sleep in her bed at night, as long as she is potty trained. the great things about Yorkies is that they dont' shed so no one owuld even know. Also i wouldn't recommend leaving her alone in a hotel room as hotel staff has free access to your room. Have a great trip, drive safe and TAKE PICTURES! |

| I got a Petstages one for Aubrey and I got it at Petsmart, thats what I am going to be getting for the new memeber of the family I think mine was either 20" or 22" something like that. I think it was either 30-40 dollars.. not bad. And it is still in good shape! |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | The two we have are from Walmart and they are great!! They are similar to the Lifestages one and are very easy to use for travel, they fold up and have a handle to carry. I would defintely recommend them, they are very affordable!!

but also, i'm not leaving her there alone intentionally. i'm going to an engagement dinner and it seems to be logical to leave her there, since i can't take her in the restaurant. the hotel does have pet policies and guarantees, but you can never be too careful. thanks for all your advice and information!
