She's beautiful! Her coat looks super shiny. |

2 Attachment(s) Hey everyone! Last night I decided to bathe Mandie May (my Maltese) in mink sheen since I loved it so much for Clyde. The results were amazing! I've heard many horror stories about Maltese & mink sheen but surprisingly Mandie's coat was soft, shiny and manageable. She didn't get matted or fluffy like others have stated. Maybe because I don't have her in full coat (she's in her summer cut and she has babies to feed). I may have gotten a little carried away because after I tried (and loved) mink sheen on her, I grabbed all four of her babies and gave them a bath with mink sheen. It turned out wonderful on them as well :). 1. Mandie after her bath. 2. The babies after their bath (aren't they cute?)! |

I tried the minksheen and wasn't too impressed and wanted to be. I didn't care for the texture of Ruby's hair after the bath. I could hear her hair breaking/tearing as I brushed and dried her. Also, the scent is different, not bad though. I've had better results with some human products I've used. For now I'll stick with the Silk Elements. |
Hi all! Well I got my sample and I tried it on Izzy. I wasn't to sure at first cause it seemed so dry, but after she was completely dry her hair was so soft. :D So I will keep using this sample and see how it goes before I decide for sure. I do like the smell on her for sure though. I haven't tried it on Cody yet. He has a silky coat so I am worried about how he will look. Izzy had a more wirey coat (for lack of better description). So far I like it though. Izzy is very fluffy and full and her fur is much softer. So I will give it a few more uses before I come to a complete decision ;) |

How did it work out on Cody? It should work really well as this stuff works the BEST of true silk coats so if it worked on your Izzy it should be amazing on your Cody! Can't wait to hear how it went! |
2 Attachment(s) I ordered a Minksheen Sample about 3 weeks ago and I'm almost out. EEEk. But, I ordered a whole GALLON yesterday. I can't wait. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Thanks guys. This thread convinced me and I couldn't be more happy. This is what Holly is looking like these days thanks to Minksheen. |

We got a sample of Minksheen as well and I tried it on Dulce. She has a silky coat and, of all the shampoos I tried so far (I haven't yet tried Cranberry Fields), we liked PetSilk Moisturizing Formula. After using Minksheen, her hair became fuller and deffinitely shinier. However, when I looked closer, I saw flakes on her skin. I believe the shampoo is drying due to the presence of medication in it. While the medication might be good for the dogs that are outside more often, for Dulce, it is unnecessary. So, I believe that our search for the perfect shampoo is not yet over. |

We use PetSilk Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner as well and it is really nice  If she is havign problems with flakes, you may want to try Cranberry Fields, it seems to really clear that up with a lot of dogs on here. There actually isn't any "medication" per say, in Mink Sheen, there are essential oils in it, which the scent causes bugs to stay away. I keep my dogs inside most of the time, we do go for walks twice a day but I like the fact that this does help with keeping bugs from biting them and it's a natural preventative. If your girl is inside all the time though, I can see why it would be unnecessary for her. We hope you find your "perfect" shampoo soon! We just ordered some products from Espree and we'll be trying them soon! |
