![]() Yes, I too have heard the same thing about Cingular. A friend of mine got two phones that never worked. They were never able to get a refund or a replacement, and then they were stuck in contract for a year. | |

I did notice the 'new' phone was scratched and dirty looking..........when I put in the battery to power it on............it clearly said REFURBISHED. I felt cheated on.........I payed all this $$ for the phone to get a used/fixed phone now way! I went to the store and demanded a new phone........they refused. I knew I was withing the returnable time frame so I did just that. They were speechless. I left the refurbished phone there and made them return it (not me). I marched right out with my refund and went on ebay and bought a darned phone there...... Apparantly, this happens all the time

We also have Sprint now,(w/ the merge) being Nextel customers for years and we have really noticed the customer service going down hill. Our contracts are up in May and we are switching companies although I don't really know if one is really any better then the other, but I too go on Ebay and buy new phones rather then deal with Sprint/Nextel.

| this really surprises me for the simple fact, i've ordered several things from them and never had a problem. I doesnt shock me as far as it happening so someone sometimes. I'm sorry this happened to you and now it has me worried to shop there again as it could happen to me next time. I despise people who are rude to customers unless the customer give them a good reason for it. Most rules says customer is always right. Of course we all know we're not but it should be taken care of by the company in a curteous manner. thanks for sharing so we all know what can happen to any of us.

My husband is stuck with them now as the company he works for gives them a cell phone and Cingular is the company they use Oh well, at least if there are any problems, WE don't have to deal with them!

| I havn't read the whold tread but maybe there is a drop box for Fed EX? We have several in our town, try that route. I am sorry you are going through this! I have dealt with many nightmares from companies but not like that!!
