| Boots Do any of your Yorkie's wear boots/shoes? I was going to get Duke some for Christmas because of the cold snow and such... but, I'm not even sure if it is necessary or if he would tolerate them (he's five). I think I could get him to wear them eventually, but... I just wonder if he really needs them? He doesn't seem to mind the snow or cold, in fact he loves the cold weather more than than the warm! Just wondering what you guys thought.

| all i know is that my york hates boots. he's 3 yrs old and refuses to wear them. other yt'ers told me boots are something you need to get them used to as a young dog or it's very difficult to get them to tolerate them. i'm still trying. good luck.

| thanks, that is what i was worried about... i figured at 5, and since he will not even wear a rubber band in his hair... no matter how much it may help his paws, he wouldn't tolerate it. he will wear shirts though... he loves him. he rolls and adjusts himself so i can get it on him better and he prances when he has it on. love it.

| that would be a good idea... but, he usually doesn't go for car trips. maybe a day after we take him to the vet. we live about 45 minutes away from the closest mall/petsmart. that did give me a good idea though... i think i'll try to make a little boot, won't be the same... but, i could see how he would react to having something around his paw. i figure it may be like "tape on the paw" reaction though.
