Impressed with my behavior?? Not so much... But like they say.. Hindsight is 20/20... and my regular purse that I set down on the bathroom floor harbors way more threats than Pixie does....

And we won't even talk about the ICU nurse who dropped his glove on the floor and picked it up and put it on right in front of me! I called him on it! He said the gloves were to protect him! lol Then he checked the Incision from her sugery.... hmmm.... But that does not make what I did right... I know

Germs still can go around, rather Pixie was exposed to anyone else or not. What about when they move something out of the room, or a nurse goes to check on your aunt, then goes and checks on another patient. You should've checked with the nurses station before bringing Pixie up there. Peoples lives are on the line up there, it's definitly not a place to go and break the rules. I hope that if I'm in the ICU, or any of my loved ones that the other patients families don't pull any thing like this and put myself or my loved ones at risk. It's one thing to use the bag to sneak the dog into a store that doesn't allow dogs, but the ICU, that's wrong.

As for that nurse, I think you should report him. Who knows what other unsanitary practices he is doing.

As for your aunt, it's good to hear that she's doing better

Default your not the ony one...

When my son was almost killed in an automobile accident, he asked to see his beloved yorkie, Mickey. It certinaly improved his overall recovery. We also took Mickey to sit on Santa's lap and had his picture taken, framed it and gave it to my son to keep on his table next to his hospital bed. He was so uplifted from it all. We did have permission from the hospital to take him there. We followed the rules from the hospital and it really paid off. What wonderful therapy it was for my son.

Rae Rae,

I'll say it a second time.... YOU ARE RIGHT... no need repeating yourself.... I was wrong... How many times would you like me to say it??? or would you like me to keep repeating myself??? Can we please be adults and not beat a dead horse?

And for peace of mind.. It was reported. My Cousin is an RN in the oncology ward at the other hospital in here in the desert and she reported my complaint to his superiors during her visit.

Buddy is about 6.25 lbs he's not a small pup. He didn't look thrilled when I asked him to get in, and he's usually climbing into ANY bag I have! Finally I picked him up and put him in it - it's the PERFECT size so that he can pop his head out the top and be very close to me. also, he stays right next to my body all the time so he was VERY comfortable.

Then came the test. I said "get inside" and he popped his head down, I zipped it up, and we walked around the house. He was silent! He was motionless! He loved it!! I loved it! It was like carrying him, but not!

I don't know who designed this bag, but it's awesome. And I had to fight the same issues - I already have 2 other bags (also, one other one with a broken zipper - anyone good at fixing zippers? It can be yours!) - but my excuse is: One is his travel on the airplane bag (Sherpa) and one is his cheap (12.99 at Target online) carrier that has no top and can't really keep him from jumping out. THIS is the ultimate carrier.

It's so awesome I had to get online before I've even fully explored it just to say "she's right! it's awesome!"

So I promise not to go to the ICU, but it will be great to sneak him into the office (where everyone loves him, but not security) or quick trips to the store when I don't want to leave him to be stolen.

Thanks SO MUCH Kathryn! Now I am stylish with my little sidekick! Especially when he is wearing his BRAND NEW fleece jacket from Tinkerbell's Closet which he and I both love to death! Look:
(blurry pic is so you can see the color, which is a Royal Blue) Shanatink is an ARTIST. I am ecstatic.
That Jacket!!! is awesome!!!! Is it cold where you are yet??

I am a sucker for anything with a hood!!! And I swear that is the same color as my Honda! lol Blue is my FAVORITE color! So much so that I got a whole car in the bluest blue I could find! lol There is no sneaking around town for me! you can see me coming a mile away!

And Right On!!! I am so jazzed that you love love love the bag!! It is like having them tucked right up against you!!! And for them its like being in a hammock! They do totally relax! Paris conks out in an instant! I can't wait to see pics of it on you!!

Default sorry...

Didn't mean to "beat a dead horse." Just wanted to throw that out there so everyone doesn't pass up the option to brighten someone's day if they are in the hospital. Sorry if this upset you. You know what...I am soon getting a little girl yorkie. I get her on Monday. When I have a really bad day at work, I just open my cell phone to look at her picture and my problems all melt away!

psvidesigner.... You did nothing of the sort.. Please don't take my post personally.. it was meant for Rae Rae... This a perfect example of why I think this kind of banter should be taken to PMs and not used to Muddy up threads... I posted on this topic elsewhere... This topic being "the public arguments" between members. I think that her and I solved it quite quickly.. but some drag on for days and pages! And it can get pretty ugly!... Also other member get involved and feelings get hurt... I don;t like it and I am very sorry that you felt that it was in any way directed towards you.. It was NOT! Please accept my apology! I really should have PM'ed her and not replied publicly... I'm sorry...

I just want you to know that I really wasn't trying to argue with you, I just wanted to let you know why this shouldn't be done w/o asking, no matter what the situation was. If I really wanted to argue it, I wouldv'e said something when I first read it. I saw someone else post on it though, so just kinda responded on how and why I agreed with them. In a way though I think it's better that some posts are public. What if someone else was thinking "ooh I should bring my pup into the ICU" and now they will hopefully understand why it's not the greatest idea. No hard feelings

And for the third post now... My response was and is still that you were right and I was wrong...

Can we please let this rest.... I think you have gotten your point across...

There is mesh... towards the ends extending up to the top where the strap begins.. but its like a privacy mesh, really fine, and its dark black... if you ordered it in black... That seems to be the trend... lol You'll totally have to post pics too!!!

And Nope.. I seriously don't make any commission on "The Bag" I wish! Actually.. I wish I sold them myself! lol Now that would be sweet! But like I said.. just passing on a seriously awesome find!

Hello Kathryn,
Thanks for the response ... kinda late for me to ask about ventilation, huh? I fig'd you wouldn't have raved about it if it was not good for the babies.

I know you don't make commission on these sales (but wouldn't it be loverly???) Yes, indeed, I ordered black ... trying to be discreet ...

And now I am anxious to see if does the trick. I had a denim one and took Monday into the supermarkets and all ... once i was at the register she peeked her head out, by then no one said anything ... the only reason I do not use it anymore is because the top closed with velcro and her hair got stuck a lot.

(Target and Home Depot were the "enemies"). Never tried a restaurant ... oh yeah, would you believe it, I was asked to leave MacDonalds .....

I shall take pix but I still do not know how to "post" them here.
later,
Debbie
