| Need suggestions on airline approved carriers!!!! My fiance works in New Orleans, but we live in Fort Worth. He comes home for week every month, but after we get married in 4 weeks, he is not going to be coming home until Thanksgiving because of all the time he is taking off for wedding/honeymoon. Therefore Rocky and I are going to fly to see him on a couple weekends, and Rocky needs a airline approved carrier, but I don't know which one to get. I like the Celltei and the Pet Flyer carriers, but which one and size do I get. I would like a carrier that I use often and one that is easy to carrier when I am shopping in the the French Quarter while he is work during the day. Do ya'll of any suggestions? |

| I flew with Simba from San Francisco to Germany in this carrier: http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...xt=carrier&N=2 What I did was to call the airline (in my case Delta) to ask which size of pet carrier is allowed, they all have about the same guidelines (sorry, I don't remember what they said) Make sure that you are allowed to take Rocky with you on the flight, I would suggest that you check with the airline itself instead of relying on what orbitz, travelocity, etc. tells you. Even though you will take Rocky as a carry-on, you will still have to pay an extra fee for him. Hope this helps, Anita Quote:

| I already checked with the airline. I will will be flying American Airlines and they let you carry on small dogs if they fit under the seat for an extra charge which is okay. I would rather take him with me than leave him at the vet for 4 days which would probably cost just as much taking him with me. |

| I have the black and pink pet flys carrier, and I am happy with it. Mia is on the bigger side, so I got the small size, which accomodates pets up to 12 lbs. I must tell you though, it is not fun to carry it around for long periods of time. My shoulders start hurting after 20 mins. But, that could also be because missy Mia is 5 lbs. already. Many people do not notice that there is a pup in the bag right away, but it looks like a duffel bag. After learning that Mia was inside, someone told me that she had been wondering why I was walking around with a duffel bag. Also, I have to carry around my purse when I take Mia in her pet flys, because it has no compartment for a wallet and a cell phone. However, Mia loves sleeping in it. After she got used to the bag, I can plainly see that it's like her second den. She feels comfy and safe in it. I also like that it comes with a blanket, and you can wash the bottom and the blanket as much as you like. Good luck with making a decision This is the one I have : http://petflys.com/pawprincess.html

| I really love Celltei, and as for size you would probobly want to go with a size small.

They carry Celltei at Glamour Dogs. If you want maybe me and you can go out their some day together. Ive been needing to go to Sam Moon and its right next door but I hate to drive to Frisco by myself. Let me know if you ever want to have a doggie playdate and go to Glamour dogs I personally like the design and look of the the cellti tote-o-pet carriers the best.
