Celltei carrier I got my Celltei carrier today. I am kind of disappointed with it. I got the small size of the Tote-o-Pet and it just seems so bulky. It would be cumbersome to carry that around in stores. Anyone have suggestions for a different bag that conceals the dog but isn't quite so bulky? thanks, omega

| Honestly, I have searched DOZENS of sites and the celltei's are by far the best for concealing your pet... I agree, they are a little bigger and bulkier than what i was looking for too - looks more like a small duffle bag than a cute oversized purse. BUT, if you aren't trying to sneak your pup into places that don't allow pets, then there are lots of bags on this site www.trixieandpeanut.com - I got one of the messenger bags from there and it sits nicer against my body and Oscar is nice and snuggly in it (he's fallen asleep in it) - Downside to this bag is that it's completely soft and doesn't have a re-inforced floor to support him - it doesn't seem to bother him though. There's also a lot of other bags on this site for a wide range of prices that don't scream "I've got a puppy in here!!". Hope this helps!

I was thinking about getting a Celltei carrier, but I tried out my best friend's and Zoey hated it! She cried so much because she missed her Pet Flys carrier. (laughs) So..now I wont get one.

So, if Celltei is a good bag, is there a different style that you would recommend other that the Tote-o-Pet? I've never heard of Pet Flys (?) where did you get yours? thanks, omega

I have the celtei you just bought and Annika loves it . . . .she sticks her head out often but when tired just goes in and relaxes. This morning my mom wanted to go to Costco unexpectedly and so I took her in, without anyone noticing at all. She is so quiet it was just sooo easy. I got it used from a YT member and I just wished it had a strap . . . but, even without it, I am totally pleased. I just got one from petsmart that is on clearance. It is not bulky and actually slimmer. It is brown with pink dots . . .so cute. I will try to take a picture and share . . .it only cost me $10 so I could not resist. Good luck in your search. . .btw, what size is your bag and up to how many pounds is it? I have the small one that will fit a 4 lbs. or less dog.

oscar's mom - which messenger bag did you get? I am looking now - And re: Costco - I am so sad that they don't allow dogs - do you put the bag in the cart with the pup, or do you just carry it? (and which celltei do you have?) Thanks! I have mostly been using 2 bags I got from Target, but I'm not totally pleased with either... One is this one: the Sherpa Backpack http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...sin=B00061W88A which I also used on the plane - it was great for that, but it sometimes leans over when it's on the ground, so it doesn't make for a very sturdy pak. Then for more casual trips where he is allowed to go with me I use a different one and I like it a lot, but mostly because he generally does not try to jump out of it - it does not have a good restraining strap (it's elastic) - but now I can't find it online anymore - also from Target - it was the "Black Nylon Pet Tote with Crocodile Trim" - I bought it for $12.49 from the website, but I see it in my local store for like $22! Target has some really cute bags and since you can return them to the store it is very reasonable...

I have the small bag, too. I wonder if I should have gotten the x-small. It is for a 4.8 lb dog and she is very tiny - very small frame. She is about 11-12 inches. omega

I also have this http://celltei.com/clcafpabl.html bag from celltei in an xtra small - Oscar is 3lbs (but this size is supposed to be good for 4-4.5lbs). I use this one the most. It is a little bulkier than i wanted, but I like it because it doesn't LOOK like a dog bag - a lot of dog carriers have paw prints, bones or crazy designs/colors and I wanted something discreet to carry around. I use this to get Oscar into my office building and have done this for the last 4 mths and no one has figured it out yet. This bag is also airline approved and has supports in it so that when the bag is sitting on the floor, it keeps it shape. My next bag was going to be this http://celltei.com/noname12.html - I really love the style of the bag, smaller dimensions BUT I was going to change the fabric to something more versatile like the off white/khaki color used for some of their other bags, and change the trim to the brown leather. I was quoted for this bag and it's very reasonable and no more than the other styles. I really like that they can customize bags to your preferences. I have looked at soo many sites for dog bags and they all have about the same dimensions or are BIGGER - Celltei's are actually some of the smaller bags in comparison that I've found. I'm only 5'4, so I think I look silly toting around GIANT bags. Once I get my next puppy (fingers crossed!) I will look at getting another bag to fit both my babies!

OK, bear with me here. Do you think the Pak o Pet in size x-small (12.5" x 7" x 10") would be an ok size for my tiny framed dog? She is 4.8 lbs., 11-12' long and 7" high at the shoulder. It would just be for short trips around town - not for traveling or anything. I saw this on Petsalley at a great price but their return policy is not so good, so I have to be sure... Thanks for your help! omega

| Just my 2 cents! I posted this a fews weeks ago on another thread. Hope it helps :) I LOVE mine too. I debated for weeks on buying one. Read all the reviews on here and still didn't understand what the big hype was ....until mine came in the mail the week I picked up Phoebe. And she and the celltei pak-o-pet have been inseperable ever since I love, love, love it and take her everywhere in it. Last sat. we went to soo many stores and people didn't even notice until I said something. They thought it was just my purse! Hi my name is Melaina and I'm a true Celltei addict....hi melaina I wrote this on another post..... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have the small pak-o-pet Celltei and Phoebe has tons of room. I debated about buying the xs or small. I didn't want it to be so noticeable. She has lots of room in the small and if she gets to be 5 or 6lbs I don't think she'll out grow it. For the cost of the celltei bags I didn't want to have to keep buying different sizes. Good luck....it took me weeks before I settled

I found a bag I really liked at an upscale pet store near my home. I had my pup with me and she climbed in the bag and wouldn't come out, so of course I bought it. (she has more expensive taste than I do, I'll tell you that! ) It looks more like a purse and is really soft and supple - very cushy and luxurious, lots of pocket room for my stuff or her treats. It's called the Charlie Bag and right now I can't remember the manufacturer - Quigy Bo or something like that???? I haven't decided if I'm going to keep the Celltei or not. The rep at the company said in that style, I could actually go with the x-small. So I have to decide how much in debt I want to be I guess.... omega
