| I have a battery operated moustache trimmer I got at Target. I trim the top 1/3 of the ear on both the outside and inside. The trimmer is also great for keeping the hair between the pads on the feet clean and to keep their Whoo-Hoo and Bum clean. I even use it to trim the hair by the eyes. I feel more confident with it than using scissors. I'm sure there are several professional groomers here at YT that can teach us both a trick or two! Come on groomer.... show us the way!

| Okay since you mentioned proffesional groomer here I am. What Corrine said is good advice. Reasons for trimming ears , is that first it's the standard for Yorkies. But you don't have too. After shaving the ears trim the excess on the edges but be careful.

| Ok so I should trim the top 1/3, do you leave the hair instead the ear ? I read somwhere they pluck the hair in the ears. Zoeys ears are up, someone told me if I don't trim the ears they might fall. I think she's too young for haircut so I guess I should trim alittle !!! There is so much to learn......
