| X-pens I am starting to do some research on getting some new xpens for the summer... I am wanting some that have a good coating on them, that will withstand rain and won't rust easily. Also one with a "people gate" on it would be nice. The dogs like to be with us when we are camping and I would like to make our sitting area inside the xpens. I usually use 2 or 3 pens to make a nice place area. suggestions?

| I like the Superyard pens. You can add as many panels as needed. I've had mine for about 10 years, and they still look new. BabiesRUs sells the gate panel. Some people like the Iris pens, but I like the height of the Superyard. I also use a section sometimes to block doorways. |

| We have the traditional metal pet pens sold at Petco, Petsmart, and Tractor Supply. Rain has not rusted them, but doggies lifting their legs rusted a couple of spots that I had to spray paint. The gates in them don't open fully to the ground. There is still a small piece we have to step over. The only downside to the Superyard type is that they don't work for dogs who are climbers.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I have the iris pen. I like it you can buy a mesh top or you could add panels to it. And also y you can hit it with a little bleach and soap and hose it off.

| We have the iris 36" tall 8 panel pen.It was one of the best investments I made 3 years ago. (searched Amazon and paid $75 new) Right now my daughter has 4 panels to keep her new rehomed dog gated to the bath and hall. and I have the other 4(with door) set up for Abby's time out area (naughty dog!) I have seen some plastic setups for children at the park and they look sturdy but taller than the superyards 27". |

| This is the one I have. Summer Infant Playsafe Playard : Target Mobile I've had it for 4 years, and it is still really good. It's plastic, so I just wipe it down when it gets dirty. I'll admit I don't use it often now that Kaji stopped his marking habit years ago. I do pull it out and set it up for the foster babies sometimes.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I have this one from when Pfeiffer was a puppy: Purchase the IRIS 4 Panel Pet Pen at Walmart.com. Save money. Live better. This one is larger and is black, which looks sharp: Get Iris Pet Pens at an always low price from Walmart.com. Save money. Live better. Neither has a people door, although they do have a pet door.
