| Kwigy Bo vs Le Petit Mon Ami Hello lovely YT'ers! In just a little over a month I will be picking up my precious baby girl. Her name is Miley and she is a tiny little thing. I wanted to invest in a nice carrier that she could have for a while and kind of grow up with. I am really interested in the Jaraden Le Petit Mon Ami carrier more than I am the Kwigy Bo but I've noticed that Kwigy Bo seems to be the more "popular option". My question is why though? I feel as if the Jaraden was much more thought out in terms of design although I don't doubt that the Kwigy Bo is an awesome bag! My next question is should I go with the Jaraden Le Petit Mon Ami or the Jaraden Mon Ami Kennel Dog carrier which is larger. As mentioned before, Miley is tiny and of course she will grow but are dogs supposed to be able to have room to turn around in their carrier? the Mon Ami is wider than the Le Petit. Any advice is helpful. thanks SO much! i've attached some pictures of Miley so that you all can get a sense of her size now, shes 7 weeks. |

| I did a lot of research also, and I myself think that the jaraden le petit mon ami is a more sturdy bag. I actually got the jaraden soho and can't wait for it to arrive. Shinja (Lil Sis) sells these bags.

| First of all, your little Miley is too cute!! Congratulations! I have a KB Alex & a Jaraden Getaway. I feel like the Jaraden is definitely made better. It's obvious just by looking at it. The Jaraden materials look & feel much higher quality. It's also much sturdier. The hardware finishes & details (like the safety strap & the inside) look & feel better too. The sides of the KB tend to collapse around my pup. I don't have the Le Petit Mon Ami, but I'm pretty sure that the quality is on par with the Getaway. I do love the Le Petite Mon Ami! I also like the Windsor & people that have that bag really love it. Personally, I think the KB is overpriced for what it is. It looks "cheap". The Jaraden looks like a quality bag. If you do get a Jaraden, LilSis sells them here & her prices are excellent. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/member.php?u=19209858 Maximo sells the KB & she's awesome too: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/member.php?u=19198273 Good luck with whatever you decide. And good luck with little Miley too! I hope she brings you many years of love & happiness

| Thank you all for the reply! Hollie91999 aside from the sturdiness what made you go with the jaraden? does your baby have room to turn around? is having room to turnaround supposed to be an option in a carrier? I mean they seem so narrow its almost as if they aren't "supposed" to be turning around. Teresiana Thank you! I can't wait to pick her up. Yes I will 99.999% be going with the Jaraden but now i'm just having trouble picking between the Le Petit Mon Ami or the regular Mon Ami Kennel. How does your baby fit in the getaway? How big is your baby? Can they turn around? |

| Thanks for the pictures! My breeder is recommending the Sherpa carrier and is concerned that the jaraden will not provide proper ventilation and comfort for Miley. She is predicting Miley to be around 4-4.5 lbs and with that being said I think the jaraden will be fine. I'm not sure what a Sherpa carrier is ill have to look into that. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I have a Sherpa carrier. Look at Homegoods, T J Maxx or Marshall's. I found mine a lot cheaper then even Amazon. I am going to be getting a Jaraden soho soon.

| I personally LOVE the Jaraden brand. I have the sharcare...and the soho. They are very solid bags and protect the pup very well. I have issues with the kwigy bo. It is soft and beautiful but folds in on the pup. Does not provide as much protection in my opinion!!!! I just sold a Kwigy bo and had to refund the payment because the company never responded to me ... after many phone calls and emails. I think the only way to get a kb is if a store has them in stock. The get-a-way bags are on sale now... small and med. If you like the mon ami I would choose the petite for your pup. Thanks-- hope that helps Shinja

Oh the jaraden bags have lots of ventilation!!! You can leave the privacy panel off ... no problems here. They also make a cooling pad that can go in the bottom of the bag for summer. This is an OLD thread where I sold a used bag.. sorry the price would be different for a new and jaraden has increased prices ...this was from last year. But you can see the pictures... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ime-green.html

| Thanks for the response lil sis! You seem to be a jaraden expert on this forum which is very helpful seeing as this is my first puppy and I am completely clueless as to what accessories I should be getting for her. I just want my girl to be comfortable and happy . The reason I was so torn between the petit and kennel was because I found the kennel for cheaper online and figured why not get a bigger bag for less but I would feel like such a criminal going into stores with such a big bag (the kennel) Quote:

lol... I do like the jaraden, but there are many who have other brands they like. My advice is get the best you can afford and think of it as something you will use a long time. I love the bright colors but sometime something more netural that you can use for many years.

| I will be posting pictures once I get my bag ( tomorrow). I went with the soho because of the bright colors offered and that it looks like a designer handbag. I love Coach and the soho looks just like one of my Coach except I can take my dog in it. My baby will be small. 3.5 to 4 pounds. He is already trained to be quiet while in a bag. I am currently using a smaller zack and zoey bag and he does fine in it. He does have room to turn around but doesn't really have to. Start getting your dog used to a bag early, that's what I did with mine. I also got the cooling pad with it since summers where I live can be pretty hot. I will probably get the le petit mon ami for the winter. Your baby is cute!!!!!
