| HELP! Affordable Trimmers? I would love some advice for purchasing clippers/trimmers on a budget. I know there are some really awesome sets for $100-150 but was hoping someone would have suggestions for ones that work well but are between $50-100? I am purchasing a grooming table and looking for a good trimmer set because my little girl Penny has a terrible reaction to going to the groomers. Every single time she breaks out with a bacterial infection on her tummy and private parts. It took a lot of investigating to finally pin point what was causing it. Narrowed it down to it happening after grooming. Thanks so much for the help! |

| Hi, we don't have our Yorkie yet but we did just purchase the Andis Easy Clip Whisper Clipper for $38.69 at Dogs.com. I was interested in the quietest clipper I could find. Tested it out for sound when it arrived and feel that it is pretty quiet, much better than I expected. Just know, I only plan on trimming ears and feet, not doing a full cut. Hope this is helpful.

| I don't know about quality, but I was researching face / ear /paw trimmer and the gets hundreds of reviews and is very cheap ($11). It's size appropriate for yorkie, has safety feature, is quiet and comes in pink or blue The only gripes I read is that it's made for people with dainty fingers. Amazon.com: TINY TRIM ball tipped small pet... If anyone has other alternative, I'd love to know too.

| clipper and groomer I know what you mean about groomers I took my Sweeti to 3 different ones and he was soo afraid and ended up with ear infection every time. I told them over & over to be carful not to get water in his ears. I got an arm to hook on a table I have groomer table cost too much & I have no room for it. As far as clippers I bought & returned 3 before I found a good one at a decent price Andis--model RACD comes with 3 blades and 4 combs. You will also need a curved pair of scissors,a blant tip pair for ears and arond eyes. Those are something you are better out to pay alittle more & get a clean cut. Try checking ebay I got a much better price on clippers & curved scissors. Hope this helps you. Have a great week. |
