| Dog Food Schell & Kempeter dba DIAMOND PET FOODS I would advise anyonw who is concerned about who manufacturers the dog food they are feeding to check the bag for the name Schell & Kampeter. Not only do we need to read the ingredients on dog food bags, but we also need to read the manufacturers of the food and if the name isn't familiar do a search on the name to find out who they "REALLY" are. The name of the "manufacturer" on Taste of the Wild Dog Food is Schell & Kempeter which is dba as Diamond Pet Foods. Now WHY in the world wouldn't they just say Diamond? Makes you wonder why they want to hide the name. |

| It sounds like they are ashamed to put the real name out there. This seems a tad shady IMO I used to feed TOTW until Jada developed allergies and really thought it was a good brand.

| One of the main reasons I started this thread is to warn everyone to research not only the ingredients and their source, but to research the manufacturer. How many other aliases does the Diamond Pet Food company have? |

| This is why I will continue to home cook and supplement with kibble from well respected companies with few to no recalls while always keeping an ear to the ground for recalls. Sad.

| Heres what i found....Diamond Pet Foods, Inc. is the name under which Schell and Kampeter, Inc. does business as a U.S.-based commercial pet food manufacturer with plants located in Meta, Missouri, Lathrop, California and Gaston, South Carolina. It is a privately-held, family owned enterprise, still managed by the Schell and Kampeter family. |
