| Toy Killer, help! I'm getting really frustrated with Trixie and her toys. I just bought her a toy this afternoon. And she doesn't even have it for half an hour and all of the stuffing is coming out already. She chews holes in every toy she has. Do you know those Bobo's from PetSmart (the one from the commercial), I'm at the third one in one month. She chewed the ears off of the previous ones and pulled the stuffing out. Her favorite is the little squeeky inside. She'll chew on the toy until the squeeky is out. The only toys that is still in one piece is her AKC rabbit.... It's not like she doesn't have any chewy toys and treats... HELP!

| Schatzie's an agressive chewer also. It has always been a hit and miss w/ what toys work the longest. She is extreamly rough and also chews her way to the squeeker. I either sew them back up and see if the toys can get a bit longer life or head right back into the direction of the toy store to "re-stock" her supply. BTW, Schatzie has the AKC squirrel and it's still in PERFECT condition. This toy is strong as glue! I am so highly impressed!

| Where do you find these squirrel's? Also have you tried Kongs? Those work very well, if they play w/ them. And also the toys that look like tires are also very indestructable for little guys! Good luck!

| Scooby was chewing the stuffing out of his toys too, I think to get to the squeaky surprise, we purchased extra squeakies and had been sewing them back up until a friend of mine had to rush her pomeranian to the vet due to an obstruction, she had the stuffing in her! So, unless its marked strong on the chew meter.(target) I don't buy the stuffed toys anymore becuase I know with my luck....I too will be at the vet! |

| Yeah, Edie does the same thing, although it was even worse when she was a puppy. Have you tried getting her a sock monkey? They last a lot longer than the other toys, and they have a squeaker. I know what you mean about the stuffing. Edie pulls it out and spreads it all over the place! Also, kongs are great. |

| I have a hard time even when i buy the tough toys. my lab will get jealous sometimes and destroy things. she actually tore up a kong stick that i had for edgar (who loved it). i thought edgar was just overzealous. nope, it was ganja! my adv is to buy toys that don't look like much of anything. check and see how the ears and eyes are sewn on, almost like you would for a human child. if it has a tail or ears, the dogs go straight for that. i think it's in their nature to destroy their prey, so they dig out the "innards" of the toy. i have also seen some toys that sort of "hide and stuff" smaller toys on thatpetplace.com http://www.thatpetplace.com/Products.../Itemdy00.aspx (the place that sells the marmot) and they might be good. but no matter what you buy you have to be careful once they pull that stuff apart! kongs have lasted longest for me good luck! |

| Oh my goodness! My Pug Duchess does the same thing with her toys...it really burns me up! I recomend just to watch her while she's playing with it, then when she starts to tear it up, take it away and say "no" stearnly. Sooner or later she will understand that when she starts getting too rough with toys, you are going to take them away. |

| We put a ball into an old sock and tie knots in the socks -- the dogs use them to chew on, to throw and whatever else -- and if they wear old we always have new old socks around. |

| Hey, I might be a dummy here but isn't that what the Yorkie was breed to do? (Kill the rodents)! Mine are so proud of their kill I have given up on the cute expensive toys and I buy the defects from petedge by the boxes. The only toys they have not destroyed is the canvas ones from Petsmart. Don't be frustrated be proud they are doing their job

| Trixie has a kong, but I kind of use it as a treat. I give it to her before I leave for work with treats inside so it keeps her occupied for a while. I'm going to have to watch a lot closer what toys to buy for her. She definately goes for the ears, nose and tails first.

| I dont know whats wrong with my dogs they really dont play with toys. They dont play with squeak toys at all. The only thing they play with is balls. I read how all of your dogs play so hard with their toys they tear them up and I cant relate at all.
