Car decals: Cute or a Target?

No I figure whether stuff is hidden in the trunk or in a console it's still out of sight so the car is less likely to get broken into. If the car is still broken into despite nothing valuable being visible, they'd probably search the whole vehicle (including the trunk).

So here's my thought on car decals. Do you think a "yorkie" decal would target you in anyway?

As I'm typing that I feel crazy .

I found a "I Love My Yorkies" one and was so excited bc a lot are just for one but I wanted both girls to be represented.

What does everyone think?

He is way protective of his house and his Joel, lol We had a homeless guy trying to open our door once But seeing how Rosco reacted i'm not that worried

I have two yorkies, (soon to be three!) and i wanted a decal that had three yorkies on it. I drive an SUV (RAV 4), fiance asked me if I was 'trying' to get robbed?! I never even thought that way at all...never crossed my mind. 'jacs' he says...we know how much these babies cost as well as your car, dont you think a would be robber would know as well?? They would follow your azz home, figure out you are gone at 3am...you would come home to a stripped house AND your precious cargo would be gone!!! I live alone to top off all that, in a pretty nice neighbourhood.
Needless to say...that stopped me dead in my tracks.
I don't think of someone robbing me...not to say it couldn't happen, it just never occured to me that I would be advertising the fact that I have 'expensive' dogs.
For me personally I woudn't do it...not tryna advertise nothin!

I have a few magnet decals on my car- Rescue dogs are the best dogs, I Luv my yorkie, I luv my golden, if your are following me you must be lost, too., etc.

We have a cheapo DVR home security system here it was less than $500 and what a piece of mind it brings for both watching the dogs while we're out, and it's a set up Nanny cam ready to go when we get a sitter!

I want more cameras, and we're going to post some signs around the house stating we have security cameras here now...I don't think that being well prepared and just plain leary and aware really counts as being paranoid-anything that would detour is great IMHO

I shoudl add to be honest our security cameras have become the new toy more than anything else-we can talk through them...the kids think it's the greatest prank ever...and it kind of is.

I went ahead and posted our, "In case of emergency please save my Yorkies" sign by the front door for the fire department etc, but considering we've never had thefts in our neighborhood which I grew up in and in the last couple months a string of vehicle break ins


I'm glad I listened. No advertising here and pad locks on tall he gates now.

Our sign says "all property is tagged and registered with the Meaquite Police Department" and one that says "smile you're on camera"
We have one at our office that's says "property is monitored by 24 hour surveillen e cameras and all property is registered with the Mesquite Police Dept"

And another that says video footage recorded live & transmitted to security center

Yorkies are considered as expensive dogs on the black market, so I wouldn't risk it. I'd maybe put a decal that said "dog lover" or something inspecific like that. I'd put my dog's safety over a sticker.
