Brit---get it, it's awesome. Reesie loves his and I am waiting a little to get Snick one so DH doesn't ask me the weekly question of "What did you get the boys that was $_____ dollars!!!??" LOL!!!!! Ressie naps in his all the time, he is in a harness a lot since we are potty training still and he will nip at his Puppia soft step in and never nips at his BB. We have the size 3 but Reesie is still growing. No irritation from the leather-it is very buttery and so well made!!!! Figures I love it-it's made in Canada. Seems like everything I love for the boys is made in Canada-kibble (Champion foods) included!!!!!!! Invest in the BB-you won't be sorry.

BB gets big endorsements - I think I'm gonna order a size 3 as well - Kody is still growing too. So did you all invest in the matching leads as well - or just the harness? I'm trying to find a deal on ebay.

Yes, I have the matching nylon leads and really like the leather hand grip on them. They are functional, sturdy, and good looking.

Its really easy to put on, ESP with you and Jackson LoL, Knowing you, you will probably train him to step into or something CRAZY! haha It is really easy to put on, they just step into it, you pull it up and it goes on like a belt.

The longest Pnut had it on was a whole day. Early morning till night. He never showed me he was uncomfortable, or wanted it off. I would know too, because when he has a shirt on or jacket he will rub on the floor or wall to try to get it off lol which tells me he is kinda uncomfortable. He will sleep in it too. When I have seen him sleeping with it on, he looks pretty darn comfy it doesn't look like it is a nunsense.

Im not sure about the half size, but if you know a good shoe repair they can add a hole for you, I will post a pic of what the guy did to mine if you like.

LOL! Yep he already does like step into step-ins by himself. I just say lift your paw, and in it goes, then lift your other paw and the other ones goes in, lol.

The stuff the shoe repair guy did looks great! I wouldn't even know it wasn't supposed to be like that!

Good to hear about the creeks and lakes! That's basically what Jackson's would be going through too. He never swims in the chlorinated pool with a harness on so I'm not worried about that, just the beach, lakes, things like that. He tends to always find some body of water to play in. lol

I'm just worried about the size 6 because wouldn't he then be on the first hole? And the belt would be kind of like... have a big flap? Or no?

I really like the leashes, too. From what I've seen. I don't think I'll be getting a leash though because I just bought a Martha Stewart leash that I really like... it's not leather but it's black fabric and it kind of looks like leather from afar. I love it!

The leather is completely comfortable. My boys will take naps in them after walks sometimes. Some dogs may be a little more sensitive at first in the armpit area. BB sells pads for that.

The bigger the BB, the stiffer the leather starts out. Max's size 4 took a little longer to break in and mold to his body than the buttery size 3.

I agree with Maximo. The leather takes a little time to get soft but once it does, it's really soft and comfortable. When we are on road trips they are in their BB all day and don't mind. The larger ones seem to be a bit harder when new and they also vary by color too. Some colors were really hard when new and others were much softer to start. We've bought several because we didn't wait until they were full gown and they got bigger than we thought they would. I also changed my mind about color a few times.

Iris is wearing a 3 now and Ivan is a 3.5. I think that is the only half size they have. The thing I like most about them is how easy they are to put on and take off. I would not recommend for water use (like at the beach) as they are leather but a little bit of rain (or snow) would probably be fine. If you have a store near you that sells them, I would recommend trying them on first but if not, just go for it. We are lucky to have a few stores nearby that carry them. I can't recommend this product enough. We love them!

I bought the 3 foot leads because we don't have sidewalks and have to walk in the street, so I prefer to keep the boys closer to me. I'm tall, and a 3 foot leads still gives them plenty of room. Correction: I think it might be a 4 foot lead. The smaller one.

In case you didn't see my correction: the lead is 4 feet long. There are 2 sizes, and I have the smaller one.

I agree with Mama2yorkies, color makes a difference on initial softness. The black ones are the softest, whereas the red one I ordered for a neighbor was stiffer.

Still, I would love to have all the colors for my boys.

I finally gave in and ordered my first Buddy Belt last week. I was so impressed with the quality and the fit that I ordered another one plus two leather 4 foot leads.

My kiddos act like they don't even know they're wearing them.

Brit, I ordered mine off of Amazon - they arrived in 2 days with both orders! The vendor they use (Wetnose Boutique) says you can return them for any reason within 30 days.

With that return option you almost have to try one.

You reminded me of the first time I put the BB on Max when he was a pup. When we stepped out the front door, he looked at me like, "Are you sure I'm hooked up to you?"

He felt so free.
