Brit---get it, it's awesome. Reesie loves his and I am waiting a little to get Snick one so DH doesn't ask me the weekly question of "What did you get the boys that was $_____ dollars!!!??" LOL!!!!! Ressie naps in his all the time, he is in a harness a lot since we are potty training still and he will nip at his Puppia soft step in and never nips at his BB. We have the size 3 but Reesie is still growing. No irritation from the leather-it is very buttery and so well made!!!! Figures I love it-it's made in Canada. Seems like everything I love for the boys is made in Canada-kibble (Champion foods) included!!!!!!! Invest in the BB-you won't be sorry. :)- Viv |
BB gets big endorsements - I think I'm gonna order a size 3 as well - Kody is still growing too. So did you all invest in the matching leads as well - or just the harness? I'm trying to find a deal on ebay. |

One more question - what size/length lead did you buy? |

The stuff the shoe repair guy did looks great! I wouldn't even know it wasn't supposed to be like that! Quote:
I'm just worried about the size 6 because wouldn't he then be on the first hole? And the belt would be kind of like... have a big flap? Or no? |

Britster - that MS leash looks nice - I'll have to look for that on Saturday at PetsMart. So what color BB will you get? I really like the caramel ... |

In case you didn't see my correction: the lead is 4 feet long. There are 2 sizes, and I have the smaller one. |
I agree with Mama2yorkies, color makes a difference on initial softness. The black ones are the softest, whereas the red one I ordered for a neighbor was stiffer. Still, I would love to have all the colors for my boys. :D |
I finally gave in and ordered my first Buddy Belt last week. I was so impressed with the quality and the fit that I ordered another one plus two leather 4 foot leads. My kiddos act like they don't even know they're wearing them. :) Brit, I ordered mine off of Amazon - they arrived in 2 days with both orders! The vendor they use (Wetnose Boutique) says you can return them for any reason within 30 days. With that return option you almost have to try one. :D |

You reminded me of the first time I put the BB on Max when he was a pup. When we stepped out the front door, he looked at me like, "Are you sure I'm hooked up to you?" :p He felt so free. |
If any of you have a 3 Dog Bakery near you, they carry BB's. And I was able to go and look at it and see which size would be best. I'm not sure what other retailers carry them, but my 3 Dog Bakery does so if you have one near you, you can check;)!! Viv |
wetnose boutique is also on ebay - I believe what colors did you order BonBon? |

Now as a Canadian...I really don't want to put a damper on the sale of BBs :)...in fact, I really like the one I have for my girl. But, I should also put out there, the BB can sometimes rub the back of the shoulders and if your pup's fur is long...or just the right texture, it can break the fur. I keep Charlee in a long coat, and I did find that her fur was breaking a bit where the BB buckled. My friend's Silky terrier's coat broke down really short, and then her fur began to grow back in a darker colour. When I asked a BB representative about it at a show, he mentioned it can sometimes be a problem for certain dog breeds and certain coat types. It is a problem that can easily be fixed by wearing a t-shirt under the harness, or by keeping your dog in a short cut. As I said, I don't want to dampen the enthusiasm for these harnesses because I do love so much about it...but thought I should mention it so you can try it for a while before buying more than one!! I just ordered the black for Bogie and pink for Jada from wetnose boutique. Susan was very helpful on the phone, because I was unsure of which size to order for Jada, I sent an email and she responded within minutes with her suggestions and phone number. Great customer service!!! |
BB [QUOTE=Britster;3455982]LOL! Yep he already does like step into step-ins by himself. I just say lift your paw, and in it goes, then lift your other paw and the other ones goes in, lol. The stuff the shoe repair guy did looks great! I wouldn't even know it wasn't supposed to be like that! LOL I knew Jackson already knew how to put on his own harness LoL. Ya I was really nervous when I took it in, I was thinking in my head like " I just paid HOW MUCH for this BB and I am taking it to some guy I don't know" LoL, But he did an amazing job! It was funny he asked me what it was, LoL (Before I say this to all of you I have a very open sense of humor) I told him it was my Titty holder! haha He was like cracking up it was pretty funny, my friend was with me, LoL ANYWAYS ya it fits Pnut perfect. I think you would honestly love it! :D :D :D |

Brit you are so funny with the harnesses! I finally gave in and bought 2 of them for my boys. I bought a 4 and 3.5 but returned the 4 because I thought it was too big for Cooper. Cooper was bigger than Max when I got them. My boys and I both love them. The quality is impressive and they are very easy to put on. I feel that my dogs are very secure in them, which is one of the issues I've had with many harnesses in the past. Get one. |
"I told him it was my Titty holder! haha" OMG!!!! YOU ARE CA-RAZY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!! LOLLLLLLL!!!!!! Viv |

Well I actually broke down a bought the size 3 to see if it fits a little better than the 3.5.. should be here this week :) So we'll see  If not its easily returnable. Maybe its just her build but for me the size 4 was WAY to big and the size 3.5 fits nicer but still fits on the second to last hole for a snug fit so I'm hoping the 3 can fit on the 3rd or 4th hole and be snug :) I acually made my own liners for the BB but I only wear them when she is in a short coat. When her coat is longer I don't wear them because it seems to mat MORE for her. Also wanted to add that the first one I got she wore to the beach all the time and we had no major issues. I actually gave that one to my mom and got Mitzy a new one :p:D I'm a harness addict too and feel like I've been through EVERY harness, Cindy's, the Choke-free, Puppia, the suede step ins, just plain nylon harnesses, but NOTHING compares to the Buddy Belts :D I just love it!! Especially because we walk everyday so its nice to have something so reliable and that I love. I still use the Puppia Vest in her carseat and I kept Cindy's that I use on occasions, but that's it. I gave the rest of the harnesses either to peope I knew with small dogs or to the shelters |

Unfortunatly the 3 is WAY smaller than the 3.5 so we are sticking with the 3.5 :D Now that I know what size she is FOR SURE I want to order a BUNCH of colors for her :) |
