Shampoo and Conditioners Hey all! I am curious what shampoo and conditioners you use for your babies. I am wanting to find a really good one especially for Jake because his coat is really dry looking and I would love something that would soften it up and smooth it out. They are all beautiful but Jake's coat just isn't as pretty as the other two. I am hoping I can find something that will help it. Thanks for any suggestions you can give. ;) |
I've been using Pet Head products. So far they have worked great. |
Chris Christensen, Earthbath...... hoping to try PEK conditioner next. Also use Ice On Ice spray. I don't use the same each time.... and Seeger uses the KONG Puppy shampoo.... it works very well for his silky coat. We use Biolage detangler rinse..... on body only, not near face..... with Shelby & Seymour sometimes their long hair gets tangled and matted and this works well for us. I have heard that Minksheen is really good, too.. (I think it would compare to the CC stuff that we use as far as cost) I think a big thing about keeping a pretty coat is grooming everyday. We shampoo once a week with a "butt bath" in between. Good Luck Finding the shampoo & conditioner that works for ya! (I think that gemy has a really good post about Isle of Dogs products that she really likes .... you may want to check it out)... Here's a short cut to it. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...m-yorkies.html |

I am also excited to try PEK, I hear NOTHING but fantastic things about it. Sounds incredible! |
Wow there are so many choices out there that I just don't know what to go with. I think it is a harder decision to find a product for them than for myself lol! |
My favorites are Biogroom (Fluffy Puppy, Oatmeal, and Silk Creme Rinse) and Coat Handler. I liked the results of the Chris Christensen Day to Day line, but I have a sensitive nose and the scent was too strong for me. Other people love it. |
Does anyone here on YT sell Chris Christensen or the PEK? |

No one here sells Chris Christensen. Very few boutiques sell it, so you will probably have to order online either directly from CC, or another outlet like Cherrybrook. :) |

Which one is better for a silky coat? I keep Rosie's hair longer. Any information is appreciated!! :) |
Mmm smells so good I just bought Nootie shampoo and leave in conditioner! Sweet pea and vanilla. It was recommended on this site. |

If it were me, I would save the money and go with Chris Christensen, Biogroom, or Coat Handler. I think you would be happier with the results too. :) |

I use Yorkie Splash & Shine sold by a YT member (WalnutHill). I've tried other products but can't get enough of this product. My favorite by far. Yorkie Splash and Yorkie Shine | Yorkie Shampoo and Yorkie Conditioner |

Thank you so much!! The Chris Christensen was actually the one I was looking at. My baby don't need heavy on her coat for sure. I appreciate the help. And thanks for the other names too. I change shampoos often!! :D |

I just ordered some more last week - they were shipped on the 31st January by Fedex and scheduled delivery was 3rd Feb. However because of the storms I haven't got them yet - and Fedex no longer has an estimated delivery date with the tracking for the package:( |
I've been looking through the grooming threads at the shampoo and conditioners that seem to be preferred. I've only used Pethead, and am looking forward to trying Biogroom, Isle Of Dogs, Iv San Bernard, Chris Christensen, and Yorkie Splash and Shine. I got a catalog in the mail today, and it had Everyday Isle of Dogs shampoo and conditioner. Is this what you would use from Isle of Dogs? Everyday Isle of Dogs? Shampoos, Conditioners, and Sprays - Pet Supplies, Pet Supply, Pet Dog, Dog Supplies, Pet Products, cat supplies, fish supplies, dog food, cat food, pet dog, Care A Lot Pet Supply |
I use the Evening Primrose Oil #10, the #51 Conditioner and I also use the Royal Jelly supplement. I get it directly from the Isle of Dogs website www.iodogs.com They have a "Coat Check" where you can put in your little ones info and they will recommend which of their products is best for your little ones coat. |
