| Kwigy Bo Style and Size Advice Needed!! So after considering finances, practicality, style, and comfort, I've finally decided to jump on the Kwigy Bo bandwagon. Unfortunately, so many more decisions await me. Issue #1: Style I've narrowed it down to either the black Alex or brown Alexa, but cannot decide on which. For those of you who have either one, what are the pros and cons? For me, I like the look of the Alex better but I like the 2 large pockets on the Alexa. I just think it might be more practical...esp if I want to carry some study materials with me...lol yea I'm a nerd. But I read somewhere that the Alexa is not as sturdy? Issue #2: Size My baby is 3.4 lbs and estimated to be around 5 lbs. I want him to have plenty of space and then some, and I actually do prefer larger bags, but it seems like most people with one yorkie get the small size. I've read some posts where YT'ers think the large is WAYY too big for one baby and looks like a duffle bag on a small person, but I'm not sure if that's true or just personal preference. I'm 5' and I regularly carry tote bags (i.e. longchamp) that are about 17" x 11" (which are the dimensions for the large KB). The bags I carry are definitely not as thick as the large KB though. I actually bought a bag from Petco a few days ago and although I don't like the style, I feel like it's a good size. It's 17 x 11 x 7 from what I measured. I'm attaching pics of that bag with my baby as well as pic of me with the bag. Please help me decide on style and size!!! Thanks =) Last edited by yli009; 11-05-2010 at 03:27 PM. |

| I just recently purchased the KB Alex in gunmetal. I bought the small. Sophie is right at 4 lbs. and she has PLENTY of room in there. I didn't want the large b/c I didn't really want her "swimming" in a big bag. You won't go wrong with a Kwigy Bo and will love it so much more than you ever thought!!!

| I have the Alex (black) and I am now pining for the Alexa. I find that the 4 pockets on each side are impractical. They fit a lot of stuff, trust me on this. But, I'm wishing I had just the two pockets to make things easier. I'm a minimilist, but I do use the kwigy bo as a carrier and a diaper bag for my little boy. He's suppose to weigh 7 lbs (weighs 8 now; he's overweight) is 12 inches long from base of neck to base of tail, and is a foot tall from the tip of his head to the floor. He fits snuggly in a size small Alex bag. I also am drooling over the Alex Luxe because of the braided handles. I find the handles on the Alex a little annoying sometimes. One is always slipping off my shoulder. It isn't a problem if the bag is zipped up, but if it's open it can easily be an accident waiting to happen. It's really a small annoyance, which I can oversea because I can take my little man with me everywhere! I think you'll end up loving whatever bag you decide to get. Kwigy bo did change manufacturers last year, so the bag I have looks different from my friends Alex bag, even though we bought our bags only months apart.

| Thanks for the advice everyone!! I think I'm leaning more towards the small Alexa now lol. How are they different if I may ask?? Are they different for the better or worse? Is it noticable? |

| Our Kwigy Bos were side to side on a bench once and you can totally tell the difference. All the materials they use now are different, including the hardware. She loves her bag too so I can only assume it hasn't changed for the better or for the worse.

| Ah ok so I think I'm set on the small size, but Alex or Alexa?!?!?! Still cannot decide haha. I was leaning more towards the Alex before I posted this thread but now that everyone's saying the Alexa is more practical...I'm torn again -_- |
