				   | Anyone know if using human baby shampoo is bad for puppies/dogs? I have proper puppy shampoo for her, but washing her in the Johnson's Nighttime Lavender stuff makes her smell way better and lasts longer. Just curious. Here's the product: Johnson's Bedtime Bath - 28 oz. : Target |

				   | If it's made for a human, it is not appropriate for a dog in my honest opinion. We have a different pH balance than our canine friends. You can cause dry skin and irritation on our little babies.

				   | My friend has been using it for years on her furbabies and they are fine with it, so I have been using it on Teegy and haven't seen a problem |

				   | Thanks guys. Does it matter if she has the more "human" type of hair vs the show hair? I don't know the tech terms, sorry. |

				   | being a groomer and just seeing all the dogs that come in and their humans use baby shampoo it leaves their skin so damaged dry flaky skin i would recomend you dont use it. | All yorkies have hair, not fur. I don't know if you mean thicker, curilier hair. Either way, it makes no difference. Using people hair on dogs can cause really dry skin as stated in the post above. There is no benefit to using people shampoo on dogs.
