| Airline Carriers? I'm traveling with all my kiddos for Christmas (3 human and Callie girl). We are flying on Southwest Airlines. Could anyone recommend an approved carrier for onboard travel? (She's 5 lbs ) I would super appreciate it! Thank you!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | A soft sided carrier is usually preferred simply because you can "smush" the sides to fit under the seat. Sherpia are soft sided carriers... Sherpas Pet Trading Company | A Sherpa Pet Group Brand Featuring the Original Soft-Sided Pet Carrier, Airline Compliant Dog and Cat Carriers Pet flys is another carrier that some use...they are not soft sided though and a little more difficult to get under the seat. Welcome To Pet Fly's - Trendy, Edgy, Airline approved pet carriers for traveling in style, comfort and safety on board a plane, train, automobile or just hanging out with you. I have travelled using both and my preference is the sherpia. Happy travels!

| i went to Petsmart.com.....or was it petco.com....i get them mixed up all the time. but some airlines have their own carriers its softsided & it has the airlines logo on it. ....i think southwest had one....american airlines had one.....i think continental had one & i think delta had one. sorry about being unsure...but i seen them about 2-3 months ago so my memory is a lil vague. but it should still be there. |

| I have the Sherpa medium carrier for my 9 pound dog, but you may be able to get away with a small. Here's my experience with Cooper on our first SouthWest flight together. Traveling With My Small Dog On An Airplane Do not buy the carrier that SW sells. It won't work.

| Sherpa is a good one if you don't really care how it looks. They have their guaranteed on board program. Just make sure when you choose a carrier to find the airline's dimension requirements and go from there. |

| I sold it on ebay. I think the Sherpa small or medium carrier for you would be perfect. The small is guaranteed for Southwest, meaning they can't turn you away. The medium is not guaranteed but nobody even looked at us.

| Awesome! Make sure you reserve space too by calling SW, unless you've already done so. Take a look also at Dog Jaunt : Traveling with a small dog I would never have been able to fly without her.
