Guy that sews dog clothes This is embarassing to say but I am a male and I sew dog Dresses. I love to pamper my dog...she has more clothes than anyone in my family over 100 outfits. Are there any other guys that sew dog clothes, or do I have a valid reason for being emberassed? I guess it pays the bills...

Don't be embarrassed, I wish I could sew. Would love to see some pictures of your baby dressed in one of your designs.

No reason to be embarassed! I have been teaching my husband the basics of sewing in hopes he can help me out. I get so swamped sometimes, it would be nice to have the extra hand. He would be embarassed of me telling this, but oooooh wellllllllllll. Just know you are not alone. Although it is kinda funny when I see my rather large manly man, sitting at my sewing machine. LOL Maybe one day, my husband will be a proud doggy dress maker too.

Thanks for all your kind words... I just feel awkward when I meet people and they ask me what I do for a living and I say I design Dog dresses. How many people design their own dog dresses?

It is funny that you say that people misunderstand you when you tell them what you do. I was buying fabric with my wife the other day and a woman asked what we were making and the woman misundrestood "Doll Clothes"...I have been doing it privately for 2 years (for just my dog, she has 150+ outfits), and one day I was in Hailey, Idaho and met Bruce Willis and his kids, and they fell in love with the clothes my dog was wearing, and I told him I made them....he was shocked and made arrangments to buy 12 of my dresses for his Yorkie-chi's (Demi breeds them.) and from there I have received a lot of celebrity clients, that keep me busy all the time mainly Paris Hilton and Hillary Duff.
