| Yorkie Grooming Supplies Hi everyone! I was looking for the Grooming section, but can't seem to find it. Hopefully this is the right place. My dogs are pets, not show dogs so perfect grooming isn't my goal, just clean face, toes, etc. I am going to learn how to groom my two Yorkies from my groomer. She gave me the following list of things to purchase: 1 Slicker brush 2 Comb 3 Toe Nail cutters 4 Blood Stop 5 Thinning shears spend around 50.00 6 Small Round Tip Shears spend around 25.00-35.00 7 8inch straight Shear spend around 50-100.00 8 Ear powder 9 Ear wash 10 Ear tweezers to pull the hair out of their ears 1 I was wondering if anyone uses a pin brush instead of a slicker brush or if it's jkust a personal preference? I think I've seen posts before about not using a slicker brush on Yorkie's hair. The groomer's slicker brush is quite nice, and their hair turns out very smooth after they use it. 3 I was going to use a grinder instead as my dogs don't care much for the clippers and I am very nervous cutting them. They don't have a problem using the PediPaws I bought for them, but think I should get a more powerful tool. Thus, I shouldn't need #4 Bloodstop either. 10 I don't think I will get ear tweezers, fingers should work good with the powder - they don't have much ear hair anyway. Any thoughts on this list and anything else I should get too? Thanks!
