one thing about some products is they leave residue which attracts dirt - vinegar doesn't do that - you just saturate the spot and step on it - and smell and stain is gone...when I had to move to an apartment from a home - Cheri my youngest took a bit to get used to not having a yard anymore - but my floors (carpet) still looks great

Does the vinegar leave not leave an odor? Or does it just disipate? I hate the smell of dog pee but i don't like the smell of vinegar equally!

Lol, I discovered Nature's Miracle when I had cats, so I'm familiar with the yellow hairball vomit!

Thanks for all the great advice! Going to try the recipe on our poor bathroom rug... It's such a struggle to keep our little ones from using it as a potty. At least the got the room right...

I found it at Petsmart, it's more expensive than the others, but I think it's so worth it, my sons' dogs come to visit, and they tend to have marking parties.

I agree that white distilled vinegar and water works great. I add some lavender essential oils to my mix and that kind of cuts the vinegar smell. Yes, the vinegar does dissipate and does not leave an odor.
