| I use the washable pads from Personally Paws. They are much more absorbent than disposables and much cheaper. I keep the wet ones in a diaper pail. Washable Puppy Pads Washable Puppy Pads - PersonallyPaws |

| I use washable pads and love them. For the most part my girls go outside but Lindi on occasion still uses the washable pads. |

| So if the washable colored fabric pads look like area rugs, what is stopping my dog from deciding that ALL the area rugs are good to pee on? The paper pee pads have a scent to attract him, do you apply the spray on training scent?

| Yeah I can see Rocky, figuring this out in his little head...... he blinks, and thinks.... hummmm just like the rug in moms room. Athough I'm going to try North Shore supply pads designed for hospital beds. They guarantee 200 washings. I'll use the 30 x 36 as the under layer. Although every effort is made sometimes his little tushy end up off the side of the pad.

| If you keep them in designated spots, they pee on their pads and not rugs. It is the same for plastic pee pads. I trained mine to go in their spots but I can see how an untrained dog with pads all over the house might have a problem. We have area rugs all over and have no issues.

| I use both.I put disposals on top of washables. You are correct about rugs. They don't know the difference w/ small rugs, they will use them. |

| I love the washables. They soak up the wee-wee much better and are super easy to wash and dry. I put 2 in her Xpen (over hardwood floors) and she uses one of the pads all the time. I started off using the disposables but found myself going through them so fast. My new puppy transitioned to using the washables right away. I also have potty park but since my puppy has a broken leg I haven't been able to train her on that (its about 4 inches off the ground and I'm afraid she's going to jump off). The washables are a great! |
