| I think I have a stupid question lol I was looking at the console because its says that its up to dogs that are 7 pounds, which is fine because Maxi is 3 pounds but he will probably be like 5-6 full grown. I wanted the lookout, but it says for dogs up to 18 pounds, is that too big to get? Should I just stick to the console? Thanks!

| If you have a car, you would most likely only be able to fit the small console carseat on your console, not the large SUV size. The small one fits my little girl who is 4.5#, but if she was much bigger I wouldn't put her in it. I also have two in the larger size from when we had larger vehicles. Those she had PLENTY of room in, but in our car, they don't fit on the console, they're too big. The lookout is not too large for her. I prefer it for long rides because I can put a blanket and chewie in there for her and she can change positions to get comfy. I definitely don't think it is too large! |

| We have the up to 18 pounders. Toby is 5.5 pounds and Lola is 3 pounds when she's lucky. They both have plenty of room to lay down, sprawl out, and still have blankets and toys in there. I would say with you having a Mazda, the 18 pounder in the backseat would be your best bet. Our second vehicle is a Toyota Camry and we can put both seats in the back and still have some space between them.
